Indigenous victims of Naniachar attack

When whole country was celebrating the victory day of the country on 16 Dec 2014, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous people in Bagachari area of Naniarchar to evict them from their traditional land. 50 indigenous houses, 7 shops and 1 Buddhist temple were destroyed.

Bangladesh army arrest indigenous Buddhist leader in Dighinala

On 2 July 2015 at 10:30 am, Bangladesh army from Dighinala Military Zone arrested Mr. Pragyan Jyoti Chakma Vice President of the Dighinala Land Protection Committee from a shop in front of the Dighinala Union Council office in Dighinala, Khagrachari district.

Bangladesh army filed false case against 800 indigenous Buddhist people following the 15 March 2016 protest against land grabbing in Dighinala. Mr. Chakma a resident of Baghaichari Doar village in Dighinala is one of about 800 indigenous Buddhist villagers against whom a false case was filed. Bangladesh army and police attacked the the protest against land grabbing on 15 March 2016.
