Bengali settlers attack indigenous Hindu people in AlikadamOn 18 April 2016, following the abduction and killing of 3 Muslim settlers and cattle traders, Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous people at the bus terminal in Alikadam, Bandarban district. The dead bodies were found at a stream of Dim Paharer of Alikadam sub-district around 3:00 pm on 18 April 2016. The Muslim settlers and cattle traders were from Panbari area of Alikadam sub-district. The local indigenous people informed that there was prevailing tensed situation soon after the discovery of dead bodies. Mr. Jonak Tripura and his wife were walking through the Alikadam Bus Terminal area in that afternoon. By then an agitated mob of Muslim settlers attacked them. On the same day at 6:00 pm, a group of Muslim settlers set fire on 3 houses owned by the indigenous people at Uttar Falong Para Pan Bazaar in Alikadam in presence of Bangladesh army, BGB and Bangladesh police forces.
