On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers gang raped Ms. Thuimrajai Marma (16) daughter of Mamong Marma at Saprue Karbaripara.

Bengali settlers attempt to rape an indigenous Buddhist girl in Ukhiya

On 13 February 2017, Muslim settlers attempted to rape an indigenous Chakma girl (age 15) in Ukhiya of Cox’s Bazar district. Failing to rape the indigenous Chakma girl, Muslim settlers attacked and wounded her. Her sister was also injured when she came to rescue her. The victims are the daughters of Rakhai Mong Chakma of Telkhola village in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar district.

The incident took place at Telkhola village at around 9 am in the morning. The victim is a 10th grade student of Thaingkhali High School. She was returning home from school, when she reached at forested area a group of 4 to 5 Muslim settlers lurking at that spot tried to rape her. 3 of the Muslim settlers were identified as Ibrahim, Abdur Rahim and Rafiq.

In the meantime, hearing victim’s scream her elder sister went there to rescue her. Muslim settlers indiscriminately beat 2 sisters and injured both of them. Later they were admitted to the hospital.
