On 25 December 1986 at 6:00 a.m Bangladeshi army personnel from the Dighinala cantonment rounded up Mr. Baribindu Chakma (38) son of Mr. Jatindra Lal Chakma of Sadhok Chara, Dighinala. Bangladesh army tied his hands and then severely beat him. Bangladesh army men laid him on the ground and kicked him like a football. They hammered his fingers. He was released after 8 and 1/2 hours of torture. He took refuge in Tripura state of India.

Bangladesh army torture 2 indigenous people in Bilaichari

On 5 March 2024, Bangladesh army from the Tangkoytang camp severely beat 2 indigenous men at Tangkoytang, Bilaichari. The victims were identified as-

  1. Natun Babu Tanchangya (40), son of Punangchan Tanchangya
  2. Kajal Babu Tanchangya (38), son of Lakkikumar Tanchangya.

Bangladesh army personnel took the victims to the Tangkoytang army camp and severely beat them on the instruction of the camp commander. 2 men were arrested on their way back home after sawing wood for erecting their houses.
