OBITUARY - Thursday February 2, 1961 - Chattanooga Daily Times

LOWERY - Robert B., 61, of Rock Springs, Ga., died in a local hospital at 5:45 o'clock Wednesday night. Mr. Lowery was a member of Peavine Baptist Church. A former employee of Southern Coach Lines, he retired due to ill health in 1946. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Kay Lowery, Rock Springs, Ga.; two sons, Robert Eugene Lowery, Chickamauga, Ga. and James Ray Lowery, Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Elliott, Chattanooga and Mrs. Ernest Edgeman, Ringgold, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Susan and Douglas Lowery, Chickamauga, Ga. Funeral arrangements will be announced. The body is at the funeral home of J. Avery Bryan Company, Chickamauga, Ga.

OBITUARY -

Mrs. Mary Lowery

Rock Spring, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Jane Kay Lowery, of Route 1, Rock Spring, Ga., died Saturday morning in Franklin, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late L.M. and Nancy Blackman Kay of Rock Spring and the widow of Robert B. Lowery. Survivors are two sons, James R. Lowery, Decatur , Ala., and Bob Lowery, Franklin, Tenn.; four brothers, James E. Kay, Robert L. Kay, both of Rock Spring, Charles Kay, Dallas abd Frank Kay, Ft. Oglethorpe; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Peavine Baptist Church with the Rev. R.V. Wells officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body is at the LaFayette Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Inc.
