Notes:
Per Philip Lowry, grandson of Henry R Lowry Sr., Henry and Harry both worked for Chattanooga Traction Company and at one time ran the street car up Signal mountain in Chattanooga. Harry died in a streetcar accident when he was 21.

OBITUARY - Tuesday June, 19 1951 - CNFP

Funeral services for Henry R. Lowry Sr., 53, 333 Stringer Street, employee of the old Chattanooga Traction Company and the Southern Railroad for 35 years, will be held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harry Kellogg and J. Fred Johnson officiating. Mr. Lowry died Monday night in a local hospital. A native of Chattanooga, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen 215 and of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nell McNabb Lowry; two daughters, Mrs. R. Allen Greene and Miss Peggy Lowry; one son, Henry Lowry Jr.; mother, Mrs, Lillie Lowry, Chattanooga. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park, with the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen in charge of services at the grave. Active pallbearers will be Frank Northup, Willis Beard, R.L. Taylor, Glen Parson, George Hufstetter and Andy Houser. Members of the brotherhood will be honorary pallbearers.
