Amen
We Have Come For Your Parents
Virgin
All hail the white noise! After Queens of the
Stone Age and At The Drive In, here come this
month's new saviours of rock. Ladies and gentlemen may
I present to you, the mighty Amen.
Amen make beautiful music. Beautiful in that they have
guitars that could destroy skyscrapers with their
ferocity. Beautiful in that in frontman Casey Chaos,
they have a vocalist who sounds like a man possessed.
Beautiful in that bass and drums rumble like Vesuvius
ready to blow. Beautiful in that finally we have a
band who matter. A band who tear up the rulebook and
re-write the rules. In blood.
Rule one: All songs must sound like the gates of Hell
bursting open. Rule two: Tunes do not matter, noise
does. Rule Three: The Sex Pistols, Suicide, Black Flag
and Motorhead are the only bands that have ever
mattered, and ever will. Rule Four: The world is
fucked, it's full of fuckers, and it's time for
revolution!
Amen are the greatest punk/metal/garage band there's
ever been and this album is a document of their fire,
their rage, and their god damn importance. Take home
this album today; plan your attack on the mainstream.
Which side will you be on come the revolution?
