Ireland is misty magic, goblins, banshees, leprechauns,
pots of gold, auburn hair and emerald green eyes,
the sweetest lilting accents, and of course pubs.
In Ireland, the pubs are not just places to raise a glass,
but a place to gather with others , friends , family, and strangers.
The storytelling is as rich and flowing as the Guinness.
Glasses fill and empty, as patrons cheerfully tell and retell
their tales, polishing and refining their art.
According to legend, any person who kisses the blarney stone
is endowed with the gift of eloquence and persuasive flattery.
Oft times, I have wondered
if all of Ireland has kissed the stone.
Here's a small sampling of some traditional Irish toasts.
Cheers.

**

May you live to be a hundred years, with one extra year to repent

**

May those who love us, love us.
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if he can not turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we may know them by their limping.

May you be in heaven 1/2 hour
before the devil knows you're dead.

**

May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.

**

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
