"I'm pregnant." Willow said. She didn't know whether or not to be
happy or sad. Did this mean that there was still a chance for her and
Oz. Could they really be happy together? She didn't know what to
think.
"Your....what?" Samantha asked swallowing a heavy lump in her throat.
Willow Rosenburg? One of her best friends...pregnant?
"I'm pregnant..." Willow said smiling even wider.
"Oh my god...Willow..are you okay?" Samantha asked. The shock was
evident on her face.
"I think so. I just don't know what I'm going to do with Oz. How can
I tell him. I don't even know if I should tell him. For all I know he
could be dating someone else right now who can make him happy and he is
just now starting to go to college and he doesn't need a kid in his
life." Willow started in a panic.
"Well I'm sure..." Samantha started with another big lump in her
throat.."that what ever you do...will work out for the best." Samantha
said nodding her head. "It always was that way with you." Samantha
finished offering her friend support.
"I hope so..." Willow started.
"Are you happy?" Samantha asked. Willow nodded her head slightly.
"I'm very happy. But I'm scared." Willow said. A tear leaking from
her eyes and rolling down her cheek. Samantha grabbed her hand and
squeezed.
"It will get better." Samantha assured her. Willow sniffled and
leaned her head on Samantha's shoulder and wept.
**************************************************Back to Oz***
The ride to Las Angelous was practically hell. Everywhere he went he
was reminded of Willow. Braum's icecream, the movie theatre, Radio
Shack, the ocean, and..the carnival. They were packing up and leaving.
Purple bags lay under his eyes and the spark that was once in his eyes
was no longer there. All they were now were two green pools of solid
tissue. The cabin looked just the same as it did when he was 15. The
cabin lay on the base of an old extinct volcano and not 100 feet away
was a beautiful lake. The sun was now setting so at his vantage point
it looked as if there were two skys. He could see the mountains
reflection in the water when he walked by and the many various colors
of fish swimming under neath his private deck. The cabin was made out
of light brown polished cabin wood, 2 storys high. Surrounding the
cabin were large redwood trees. Some almost 500 feet long. He saw one
tree in particular that he used to call fatty when he was 9 because the
tree was so big. It would probably take over 20 of him to surround the
entire tree...that is while there hands are linked and their arms are
stretched. The inside was neatly accessorized with all sorts of
furniture that his uncle once owned. The living room was huge. He had
a wooden floor, 2 huge black leather couches that joined together and
made two sides of a square, a black lazy boy chair, a huge TV, and a
fire place made of a tan colored marble. The only part of the floor
that was covered was between the couch and the Fire place which was
made out of white synthetic fur, and the couch and the TV. The door to
the left of the living room lead to a pool room. Oz opened the door
and it was still the same as usual. On the door to the right of the
living room was his mother's greenhouse. Just outside of the pool room
but inside the living room was a spiral stair case that led to the
second floor. The second floor consisted of 3 rooms and a bathroom.
The middle room was the biggest and Oz always considered it to be his
room considering how he always slept in it and he was the only one in
the house now. The four post bed was huge. In one of the corners were
a bunch of quilts and comforters for when it got cold during the
winter. A bunch of his old posters hung on the walls. Some of Korn,
Nirvana, Panterra, Limp Bizkit, Aerosmith, and the Rolling Stones, and
the Goo-goo dolls. The room to the left was the guest room because it
had a beautiful scene of the lake, and the room to the left was the
storage room.
The bathroom floor was made out of the tan colored marble that the fire
place was made of. Inside he had a sink, wooden cabinets, a bath tub,
Shower, and a chikoozy.< I think thats how you spell it. You get the
picture. Right? > The walls were made of wood as well.
Again...downstairs was a bar where you could serve liquor and on the
other side of the living room was a stage where he could fit his guitar
on and play. In the basement was his father's old wine cellar. He
walked down to the basement and sure enough the liquor was still there.
That stuff would come in handy for the next few months. He remembered
how his father used to keep it locked up and hidden so he wouldn't get
into it but no such luck. He quickly grabbed 2 bottles of Tequesa and
proceeded back up to the living room.
He quickly took a long hard swig of the first bottle of Tequesa. The
very essence of it burned his nose and he winced inwardly. His eyes
watered up as if he were chopping onions and he sniffed as the burning
sensation was replaced with a mild discomfort. Before this place was a
place to relax...now all it was to Oz was a place to hide. A place to
hide from a town with one to many memories. Images of Willow filled
his mind for the next hour. Good and bad. He would remember their
last night together and how he kissed her and then he would remember
that awful night. Just at the thought of that night made him drink
more. By the end of the hour he had knocked down 3/4ths of the second
bottle and in his case could be lethal. Considering how he wasn't very
heavy so his system could only take so much.
Instead of doing the normal routine where he went to the bathroom and
upchucked the contents of his stomach which of the now was liquor...he
passed out. The remainder of the liquor slowly dripping onto his chest
as he lay there on the floor totally plastered.
<<< Ok...yes I'm stupid..but once I did something like that and it took
me forever to wake up. Have you ever been able to sleep for 26 hours?
So understand when I say that he doens't wake up for another 18
hours...Kapiche? >>>
18 hours later.
Oz woke up with a seering headache. What the hell happened? He
quickly sat up and then regretted his actions when he felt a large pop
in his scull.
*What the....* Oz thought. He soon remembered why he was in this state
of pain and silently cursed himself for he knew that it would be fatal
for him to take any pain medicine. He soon had the courage to open his
eyes and found the room to be blurry. He carefully staggered to his
feet and held his hand out so he could feel the wall for support. His
legs were weak which really bugged him because he was always used to
feeling them. Just when he thought he was stable enough to walk over
to the couch and lay down he let go of the wall. He saw something big
and greyish in front of him and decided that that was the couch.
Instead of the couch it turned out to be the fire place. Oz konked his
head against the hard marble and staggered his way back over to the
actual couch. If it had been 3 seconds later he would have passed out
on the floor. One leg lay on the couch and the other on the floor.
His mouth was half open and his eyes were tightly closed.
*Dreaming*
Laughter could be heard all over the place. Oz stood up in the grassy
meadow and held his arms out wide. In rushed a beautiful red head boy.
"Daddy...daddy." A little girl called from behind. She looked like
she was maybe 3 or 4. She quickly embraced his right leg just as he
was about to walk the opposite direction. Oz smiled slightly and let
the little boy down and picked up the little girl.
"Well hello Kaci." Oz said picking up his daughter and kissing her
lightly on the forehead. Both his children had red/blond hair. Kaci
looked a lot like her mother, Oz thought. He smiled slightly as Kevin
began tugging at his hand. He put Kaci down and ruffled their hair
slightly.
"Oz!!!!" A distant voice hollered. Oz turned around and smiled
radiantly at the beautiful young woman.
"Willow..." Oz said as she ran into his arms.
"I missed you."
"I'm glad you came back early." Oz said squeazing her tightly to his
body. She pulled back slightly and looked up into his green-grey eyes.
She smiled her angelic smile and leaned in slowly to capture his lips
in a sweet kiss. They kissed eachother passionately devouring one
anothers kisses as if they were the very oxygen one found necessary to
live. One hand encircled her waiste and the other slid through her
silky red hair. Neither one of the two realized that they had an
audience comsuming of their two young children until a few moments
later.
"Eeeeewwwwwww!!!!!" Kevin and Kaci said simultaneousley. "Thats
disgusting." Kevin said with a smile on his face. Kaci nodded her
head in agreement when the two young adults looked down to acknowledge
their children. Willow smiled sweetly at the ones she loved so very
much. She pecked Oz on the cheek one last time not once taking her
eyes off of her children.
"Someday you two will understand." Willow said as she squatted down to
make level eye contact. She lightly played with the shoulder length
hair Kaci had and tucked it behind her ear.
"No way." Kevin said shaking his head. "All girls are disgusting. I
ain't ever touching them."
"I'm disgusting?" Willow asked.
"Well....no..but you don't count because your my mommy." Kevin said
blushing slightly.
Willow smiled at her young son. He was so young. He looked as if he
were only 7 to Willow. She placed her hands on both his shoulders and
lightly kissed his forehead. She ruffled his hair again and he winced.
"ah mom..." Kevin said scratching his head.
Willow giggled lightly. She stood back up and Oz encircled her waiste
with both arms and placed his chin on her shoulder. He whispered
lightly in her ear.
"I love you." Oz whispered smiling. Willow smiled back and leaned
further into her husbands embrace.
"Ditto." Willow said. "Lets head back towards the house." Willow
said tugging at his hand. Just as they were about to close the door
behind them.....
*End Dream*
Oz woke up with a smile on his face. He touched his lips as his mind
soon settled back into reality. He wanted to frown but he couldn't.
The feeling of Willow's phantom kiss sent shivers through his entire
body. They had children. They were together. Oz smiled at the
thought. Than he frowned. It was only a dream. There was no Willow
to wake up next to in his arms. Instead of living in peace he woke up
to the terrible agony of life. He no longer lived a dream. Without
Willow...he lived a nightmare.
