Salem's Bringing

Salem's Bringing

Part One

A new day shown over Sunnydale as Willow made her last steps towards Sunnydale High. As she made her way up the steps she noticed Oz waiting by the entrance. A happy grin quickly spread across her face. She quickened her pace and made her way to him through the crowd. Oz noticed Willow coming towards him and he smiled over to her.

"Hey", Willow said as she approached him. "Hey to you too", he replied. "So are you going to the Bronze tonight? We aren't playing and it isn't a full moon, so I figured we could go". < Finally a date >. "Sure, it sounds good", Willow replied happily. It was their first sorta date in awhile. Oz's bad had been getting a lot of gigs lately and right before the gigs started to pick up Oz had just had his monthly wolfyness. "Hey I've gotta go, but I'll pick you up at 8:00 okay?" he asked. "Eight sounds good".

As Oz left Willow spotted Buffy out of the corner of her eye. She decided to go say hi. Apparently Buffy had spotted Willow as well, and had started to head towards her. When the two met Buffy immediately started to talk.

"Hey Will. I need you to come with me to the library right now okay?" Buffy asked in a rush. "Why?" Willow asked. "Not sure really. Giles told me to find you and come with him to the library as soon as possible". Willow shrugged her shoulders. "Sure".

The two started to chat with one another about normal things that happened to teenaged girls as they made their way to the library. Talking about these things was a relief and almost a vacation to Buffy whose life revolved in destroying things that go bump in the night, and then some. The two had been so involved in their conversation that nether of them noticed a boy that appeared to be their age staring at them.

He was standing by one of the open lockers with a few books in his hands. He wore a serious almost angry face, as he watched the two go by. This time there wasn't someone staring at Buff making plots to kill the slayer, there was someone staring at Willow. And this guy wasn't thinking happy thoughts.

Giles perked up as he heard Buff and Willow enter the library. He began to make his way from the stacks, down the stairs, and towards the two as they sat down at the table.

"Hey Giles I got Willow not can you tell us what's up?" Buffy asked sounding slightly impatient, but not rude. "Oh ummm... Well my books have been telling me that in a few days Chevoxial will rise". "Who is that?" Willow asked with a blank stare across her face.

"It's a demon that can summon any creature you have slain". "Ugh that's all I need. Is this guy tuff?" Buffy asked. "Actually no he isn't. He is rather week for a demon, but his power of bringing back creatures you've slain is terribly dangerous.

Once you kill him the creatures that he bring back will disappear. One of his weaknesses is that every time he brings back a demon from the dead he grows weaker". "Sounds like an easy kill" Buffy said calmly. "Yes killing the creature itself shouldn't be a bit tiresome it's just since he does have the ability to bring back any creature of his desire from the dead you will have your hands quite full I believe".

"Well since Buffy already knows about her creatures that she may have to fight does that mean that I have to research anything?" Willow asked hoping Giles would say no. She really wanted to be able to go out with Oz tonight.

"Um… I don't believe so" Giles simply replied. "Great! I sorta had this thing tonight that I had to go to and I didn't wanna tell this person that I couldn't make it, so I am feeling some extreme gladness right about now" Willow said with a grin spread across her face.

"Date with Oz?" Buffy asked with little emotion already knowing the answer. "Man poker just isn't my game" Willow replied quickly. Willow started to make her way towards the door after she said goodbye to Giles and Buffy, but she froze before she made it to the door.

"Uhh Buffy?" Willow asked in a lower voice. "Yeah Will" she replied. "You don't need my help with fighting do you? I know I am not the best person for battling something nasty and evil, but I have done my share in the past" she asked. "Tell ya what. Take my beeper, and if things get bad I'll beep you and both you and Oz can come and help me. Sound good?"

Willow shook her head with her classic happy face on. "Thanks Buffy". "Hey fighting is my job. Not yours". Willow once again took off out of the library. The rest of the day her classes seem to go on forever. She was looking forward to her date so much. She started to book it to her locker when the bell finally rang. < Why am I bothering moving so fast? My date isn't till eight >. She then began to slow down. After the first try she opened up her locker. Willow emptied out the books that she didn't need into her locker and grabbed the ones that she did need. After she was finished she slammed her locker and started to walk towards the door.

In her hand was a spell book that she had borrowed from Michael on trying to turn Amy back. She has tried everything else and had officially reached the point of being desperate. She was so busy thinking of what she might want to wear tonight on her date with Oz that she didn't even notice that the same guy from earlier on that day was following her.

He followed her off the campus and down a few streets towards her home. He watched from a nearby bush as she entered her home. When he saw that she had entered her home he decided to make his move. Unfortunately Willow hadn't remembered to lock the front door when she entered so he slipped up the front lawn and into the Rosenburgs home not making a sound.

Meanwhile Willow was in her room rummaging through her closet looking for something to wear. < Maybe I should call Buffy. No Oz said that he likes it more when I pick out my own clothes. Man there is nothing in here >.

Suddenly he grabbed her from behind. Willow shrieked with terror. This only made him happier. She struggled with him a bit. He slammed her against her bedroom wall after he gained back control.

"Quiet! One more word out of you and I'll slit your throat". Willow was sobering terribly, she saw the knife in his right hand.

"I know that you're a witch, and I want you dead. Your evil and it's my job to kill you," he said without any sympathy. Willow squirmed in his grasp. "But I'm not evil. I swear… Please just let me go" she begged. He stood there frozen in place with a blank stare on his face. Suddenly he let her go and began to walk casually around her room. "You may not be evil but you are a witch or at least you practice the craft, and my great ancestors hunted you in Salem. All of their descendents did the same, and I am not going to end that now" the boy stated.

Willow was still standing against the wall as still as could be. "Please I am begging you don't kill me". He stood where he was with a look on his face as if he was in deep thought.

"I'll make you a deal does that sound good"? Willow shook her head violently. "Yes" she said quickly. "You stop using witch craft and I won't kill you". "No I can't" she pleaded. "It's that or your death" he responded. "You will take a blood oath. If you use witch craft in anyway I will kill both you and your boyfriend". "Oz" she whispered in fear. < That's too risky. I couldn't risk the man I love just to spare myself >. "I can't risk that much," she said as a tear fell down her cheek.

"Then you die," he said as he walked towards her with the knife held high in the air. < No wait Oz will probably end up blaming himself for my death. I can't do that to him. I am just going to have to figure something out >.

"Wait!" she shouted. "I'll do it". He lowered the knife and smiled. "Very good. Now let me see your finger," he said almost laughingly.

Willow cringed as she felt him prick her finger and sign her name in blood. "Now if you disobey me I will be able to sense it and I will kill you and Oz. So don't fail me".

"I won't," she said with her head hanged low. When she looked back up he was gone. As soon as she saw this she dropped to the floor in a heap of tears. Soon everything went black.
