Salem's Bringing

Part Three

When Willow and Oz finally made it to the ice-cream place, Oz started to talk again. "What do you want?" he asked sounding as if the last conversation they had never occured where as deep down inside he wished it hadn't. "Umm Strawberry I guess" she replied sounding edgey still. He noticed her voice was quick and she sounded frightned to him, but he tried to push that feeling away for the time.

He walked up to the window, and orderd Willow a medium Strawberry, and a medium chocolate for himself. Once he had gotten the ice cream and paid the man working at the window, he walked back to where Willow was sitting. He handed her the ice-cream cone as she stood up.

They continued to walk all over town. They talked about normal things. Oz's band, school, Chevoxial, and other things that they would usually discuss. Both of them were still think about what happened before, both of them affraid to bring it up.

Oz was deeply concerned for Willow and she could sense that, which made her a little uneasy, because if he asked her at the right moment she knew she would spill her guts to him in one sobbing mess.

< I wish that she would just tell me what's going on in her head. Something more happened to her then she just bumping her head, and hitting her shoulder >. "So you wanna head to the park and sit down for awhile?" he asked hoping that if he got her to sit down she would talk.

"What? Oh the Park... Yeah okay my legs could use a rest," she said still a bit panicy. < He is going to try and get me to tell him what's really going on... Oh god what am I gonna to do >?

The made it to the deserted park about eight minutes later. They desided to take a seat on the empty swings that Oz knew would comfort her. Childhood things all ways brought Willow great comfort. It gave her something to hold onto no matter what happend she would never let that part of her that loved to play in the wild flowers with the fairies go. It was something nobody could take from her. Not even Nick.

"Okay now that we are here sitting down, I wanna ask you again. What really happened back at your house? I don't wanna force you to tell me what's going on, but I am concerned for you Will" he said in one mouthful.

"Look Oz, I told you I fainted somehow. I don't know why. Maybe I am sick, maybe it was something compleatly different," she said trying to sound normal, but she could fool him. He was her Oz, and his extra wolfy senses didn't help her much in the field of covering up what was really wrong with a lie that she hated to tell.

"I know what you are telling me isn't true, and I have a feeling that something is making you not tell the truth. Whatever the reason is that you aren't telling me you should just forget it and tell me, cause I can help you!" he said sounding panicy himself.

"You can't help me Oz!" Willow said sounding more upset then ever. "If I tell you he'll hurt you and me!" she continued. "Something happened to me before and if I tell you what happened he will kill you!" she said raising her voice more in every word that left her lips.

"Who?!" he asked starting to lose it, even though he didn't want to upset her he had to know if thing were that serious.

"I told you! I can't tell you, because if I do then he will come after us both, and if I tell you he will know" she said starting to calm down a small bit, but still obviously upset over it all.

Oz grab Willows shoulders to draw her attention back to him, and she cried out again in pain. He released her imediatly. "I am sorry Willow. I didn't mean to hurt you, but don't you see that he will hurt you anyway. We can go to Buffy and Giles. They will help us. You have to trust me!" he said starting to get more upset.

Willow began to sob. "I'm sorry, I can't" she managed to blurt out between sobs. Oz grabed her softly and pulled her into a hug. Suddenly Nick appeard from the shadows.

"Well, I guess I might as well let Willow tell you what happened, but since she is well... A mess I guess I will tell ya" he said sounding almost pleased at the sight of him. "Who the hell are you!" Oz said strongly and fiercely towards him.

"Ohh tough guy! My name is Nick. You see I seem to have a problem with your girlfriend over there" he continued. "And what would that be" Oz demanded as he held Willow tightly in a hug with her face buried into his shoulder.

"She's a witch... My family has been dedicated to hunting her kind down, and killing them. Whatever way possible. I was feeling nice, so I decided to give your Willow here a break, and make her promise to keep her silence about me, and to never practice the craft again, and I wouldn't kill her" he said finishing up. "Practicing witchcraft is one of the things Willow loves the most. I can't believe you would wanna make her stop practicing it" he exclaimed.

"Well, it doesn't make a difference now. You know, so now I will have to kill you both. I am really sorry that it had to turn out like this, but hey can't blame a guy for trying" Nick stated almost as if he was mocking Oz and Willow.

"Now who should I kill first?" he asked to himself smiling. Willow lifted her head from Oz's shoulders. "Please don't hurt him. You can do whatever you want to me, but spare him. Please!" Willow pleaded.

"No!" Oz shouted. "You touch her, and I will kill you" Oz said to him with more anger that Willow had ever seen him express. "You're such a fool" Nick replied as he moved in for the kill.
