Whispering Sweet Nothings

Author's Notes: This is an announcement fic, therefore it was written for a purpose. Therefore you should read it ;)

Dedication: To Laura 'cause NONE of this would have happened if it wasn't for her *g*

It was a beautiful spring night, and the Bronze was packed with hormonally driven teenagers girating to the smooth sounds of Dingoes ate my baby. Willow was seated at a table near the stage, watching her boyfriend fixatedly, while Buffy and Xander mourned about their pathetic love lives.

Willow barely noticed Devon in his new silver vinyl pants as he crooned into the microphone, she was too busy watching the lead guitarist play through the not-so-simple chords of the song. *His hands.* She thought, dreamily, her eyes glazing over. She also didn't notice when Giles came rushing into the Bronze, determination and worry on his face.

"Buffy, thank God you're here." He stammered, looking around the Bronze. "Oh, look, Oz is on stage."

"What's up Giles?" Buffy asked, sipping from her caffinated beverage.

"There's a horrible prophecy that I just discovered. I can't go into the details now, but I need you and Angel to go out and patrol this evening. There is a vampire--" He lowered his voice, "That is supposed to rise tonight and we musn't let him get to the mayor."

Buffy snapped into Slayer-mode. "Okay, Giles. Angel is too busy broodin-- I mean, we're not seeing eachother right now, so Xander will have to come with."

Xander nodded. "Sure, I'm game. Just as long as I don't have to be bait." He paused. "Or maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea."

Giles turned to Willow. "Do you think that you and Oz might be able to assist me in research? I haven't been able to connect to the internet through that damned contraption and I think either one of you would recieve better results."

Willow nodded with her resolve face. "Sure. As soon as Oz is done with the set we'll head over to the library." She waved her hand at them. "Giles, you should probably go with Buffy, it's safer in numbers."

Giles nodded. "You're right. Good luck, we'll check on the both of you later."

** ** **

Willow and Oz entered the library about a half an hour later, hand in hand. Willow immediatly pulled her laptop out of her bag and sat down at the desk, while Oz sat down at the computer near the check-out area. They worked for several minutes in silence, and then a delighted squeal erupted from the redheaded witch in training.

"Did you find something?" Oz asked.

"No! Even better!!" Willow replied, practically bouncing in her seat.

Oz moved from his place to see what his girlfriend was so excited about. "What is it?"

"A new site!! A new website!!" She pointed excitedly at the monitor, and Oz squinted as he looked at the website in front of him. Willow scrolled through updated announcements until she came to the part that had her so excited. Oz noticed a picture of himself and raised his eyebrows.

"There are pictures. Of me. On the internet?" He asked.

Willow grinned at him. "There are LOTS of pictures of you. And me! And us together! Apparently there are a few people who like us enough to devote entire websites to us!! There are two that I really like a lot, Laura's Willow and Oz page and We make our own fun."

Oz nodded in agreement. "That's pretty cool. What gave you so much Willow joy before, though?"

"Well," Willow explained. "It says here on Pixie's site that she and Laura are opening a new page together! About us!!"

Oz felt a smile lift his features. He had to admit it was kind-of cool, if a bit scary. "So two people who really like us a lot and both have websites about us are joining forces to bring a new website devoted to studying our relationship?"

Willow smiled happily. "Exactly. They haven't put up the link yet because they're still working on it, but they promise that it'll be great! With lots of original sections and neat things to do."

Oz leaned a bit closer. "When do they think it'll be open?"

Willow scrolled down a bit, and then squealed again. "Sunday, April 25th!! That's tommorow Oz!"

"I don't know if I can wait that long." Oz admitted. "I'm pretty curious to see what it's all about."

Willow nodded. "Me, too." She squeezed his hand. "It's all so exciting, though. They like us, they really like us."

Oz smiled tenderly at her. "I can understand why." He then pointed at the screen. "Look, it says more."

Willow scrolled down. "Oh, it's a note from Laura and Pixie." She then read outloud, "'While we can't wait to open up our new site, we must admit that we won't be able to unless we get a bit more inspiration. We've rewatched Phases, Becoming, Faith, Hope and Trick and Amends countless times, but it's just not cutting it. We need smoochies, and we can't open up until we get some.'"

A mischevious grin spread across Oz's face as he listened to his girlfriend. When she was done, she looked up at him, puzzled. "They want to kiss eachother?"

Oz laughed. "No," He brushed his lips against hers. "They want us to kiss."

Willow smiled brightly. "Oh! Well, it's for the good of the community, right? We can't keep all our fans waiting."

Oz sat down in the chair next to Willow and gently pulled her into his lap. "No, we certainly can't." He finished with a kiss. Willow wrapped her arms around Oz's neck and kissed him back. Their passionate moment was interuppted, however, by the computer, signaling that Willow had recieved e-mail. She sighed, disentagled herself from Oz's embrace and quickly checked her inbox. There was a message from ILuvOz@ica.net.

"Hey guys:

Don't forget to say "I love you." It'll really help.

Laura and Pixie"

Willow grinned at Oz and fell back into his arms. "I love you." She whispered in his ear.

Oz smiled back. "I love you, too." They looked around for a moment. "Was that good?" He asked to the seemingly empty room.

Somewhere way off in the distance, the couple heard two girls giggling happily, and they knew that it was definitely good.
