I CAME WITHIN 10 FEET OF THE BSB!!!! But I wasn't a big fan at the time. Ok, I've never come that close of a famous person besides Deborah (Debbie) Gibson. Here's the story, it was 1997 at the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was freezing, and my family got there a little earlier, so I was in the front with my sister. The Backstreet Boys were there. Guess what... so was I. I JUST heard about them, I was a "late" fan. The first BSB song I heard WASN'T We've Got It Goin' On, nor was it Quit Playin' Games or Everybody-- the first Backstreet song I ever heard was As Long As You Love Me. I fell in love with them- but for some stupid reason, I still wasn't a big fan. I had seen the video about a month or so before the parade, and basically the only thing I knew about them were their names (which is the BIGGEST difference- I know almost everything now). I didn't even have the CD. But there they were, 10 feet in front of me, on the same float as "The Hip-Hop Kids" (who?). They were all bundled up, in front of a giant globe. Brian waved at me... I smiled. Just smiled-- oh, the mistakes I've made. This was the biggest one. I- I... I should have screamed-- I should have had a sign with my e-mail address and I LOVE YOU or something... it makes me sick thinking about it- I was just TOOOOOO close. Oh-- NOT FAIR!!!!!!
