House CleaningLast Week I threw out Worrying,
it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me;
I couldn't do things my way.
I threw out those Inhibitions;
they were just crowding me out.
Made room for my New Growth,
got rid of my old dreams and doubts.
I threw out a book on MY PAST (didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with New Goals, started reading it today.
I threw out hate and bad memories, (remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too,
threw out the one from long ago.
Brought in some new books too,
called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, You should've seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND,
haven't seen him in a while.
I believe his name is GOD,
Yes, I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning
and added some things Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE and FAITH,
Yes I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT - its called PEACE.
Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any place.
Its good to do a little house cleaning,
to get rid of the old things on the shelf.
It sure
makes things brighter;
maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.
PRAYER
Good Morning Father,
I just want to take the time to thank You for all the goodness and mercy that You have given to me.
I thank You for allowing me to rise and see the splendor of this day.
Father, I love You, and as I start my day
I pray that all I do and say will bring You glory.
Lord, order my steps, my tongue, and my heart. Let me be a blessing to everyone I meet, but most importantly, let me be a witness for You. I pray that I may be able to tell someone about Your goodness and how You sacrificed Your life so that we might have a right to eternal life.
Bless my co-workers and all with whom I may come in contact. Again, Lord, I love You with an everlasting love. I give You all the praise and the glory because You alone are worthy. I ask these and all other blessings in Your name, Jesus, in whom is all power and dominion now and forever more. AMEN

The Four Candles
The Four Candles burned slowly.
Their Ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak...
The first candle said, "I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit."
Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
The second candle says, "I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable."
Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
Sadly the third candle spoke, "I Am Love and I haven't the strength to stay lit any longer." "People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them. "And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely.
Suddenly...
A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning.
The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end."
Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, "Don't be afraid, for I Am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."
With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles.
Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life.
With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can Shine Brightly in our lives.

TIPS FOR LIFE
1. Give God what's right, not what's left!
2. "Pray" is a four letter word that you can say anywhere....(except in a public school).
3. Man's way leads to a hopeless end! God's way leads to an endless hope!
4. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
5. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone!
6. To be almost saved is to be totally lost.
7. We're too blessed to be depressed.
8. In the sentence of life the Devil may be a comma, do not let him be the period!
9. Don't put a question mark where God put a period.
10. God loves everyone, but probably prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious nuts"!
11. God grades on the cross, not the curve.
12. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come on into Church for a faith lift!
13. Prayer - Don't give God instructions- just report for duty!
14. Wal-Mart isn't the only saving place!
15. God doesn't want shares of your life; He wants controlling interest!
16. Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to church.
17. A family altar can alter a family.
18. We don't change the message, the message changes us.
19. This Church is "Prayer Conditioned"!
20. When God ordains, He sustains.
21. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning!
22. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
23. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory capacity.
24. Having truth decay? Brush up on your Bible!
25. Exercise daily-walk with the Lord!
26. Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.
27. Wisdom has two parts: 1) Having a lot to say. 2) Not saying it.
