Pagan Links:
- Circle Sanctuary
- Circle Sanctuary is one of the oldest American Pagan organizations and was founded by Selena Fox. They offer membership and their magazine Circle Network News can be purchased at almost all new age stores and some of the major bookstore chains. Their site is very informative for those seeking to know more about Paganism in general.
- Covenant of Gaia Church of Alberta (COGCOA)
- Based in Calgary, COGCOA has been serving the Calgary Pagan community for over a decade.
- The Pagan Federation
- This organization is based out of England, but publishes a very informative magazine called Pagan Dawn. They offer information on various Pagan traditions to the public and the media.
- Pagan Federation of Canada (PFC)
- The Pagan Federation of Canada is a great resource for pagans practicing here in Canada. They offer resonable membership rates and a monthly newsletter.
- The Witches' Voice
- No decent links page on Paganism in general would be complete without a link to this very large and informative website! The Witches' Voice has links, articles and resources on all traditions of Paganism. They offer a contact board where Pagans can look up other Pagans in their area. This is the "see-first" site for those wishing to know more about Paganism.
Druid Links:
- Ar nDraoicht Fein (A Druid Fellowship)
- The ADF was formed in 1984 by Isaac Bonewitz after he broke with the Reformed Druids of North America. It is a non-profit organization and is at this time, the largest branch of American Druidism with well over 400 active members and over a dozen chartered "Groves". I have just recently joined this organization. More information as to fees, membership and teachings can be found on their website. ADF is highly recommended for those seeking to more about the neo-Druid ways.
- The British Druid Order (BDO)
- The BDO was founded in 1979 by Phillip Shallcrass and Emma Restall-Orr, the Joint Chiefs. They organize events such as workshops, conferences, talks, etc. in Britain and around the world. They also perform public and private rituals for things such as seasonals and rites of passage. Several books and periodicals have ben published by the Order such as The Druid's Voice magazine, Spirits of the Sacred Grove By Emma Restall-Orr and A Druid Directory: A Guide to Modern Druidry & Druid Orders Edited by Phillip Shallcrass. To join, one must pay a subscription fee which includes a very informative booklet called Druidry: Rekindling the Sacred Fire and a subscription to Tooth and Claw Magazine as well as other information on events, history of the BDO and BDO publications. I have recently become a member of the BDO.
- The Henge of Keltria
- The Henge of Keltria is also one of the larger American Druid Orders. It was founded in 1988 by Tony Taylor and Sable. They are quite friendly with ADF and many members are members of both organizations. They offer a correspondence course and reasonable membership dues. They, like ADF, also have several "groves" branched off from the main organization and are very strong in upholding Celtic traditions. They have a very informative website as well.
- IMBAS
- IMBAS is another large Druid organization in the United States and offers a very informative website. A lot of research has gone into the makingof this site and it is well worth a look.
- The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD)
- The OBOD is probably the largest Druid Order throughout the world. It was founded by Ross Nichols in 1964 when he broke away from the Ancient Druid Order. When he passed away in 1975, the Order experienced a lull, until 1988 when his former student, Phillip Carr-Gomm breathed life into it once more. He is still Chosen Chief of the Order today. The OBOD offers a correspondence course, supported by a tutoring or mentoring system. There are three grades to the course (Bard, Ovate and Druid) and it is reasonably proced for what you receive. They have a large number of "Seed Groups" around the world. I have recently joined the Order and am co-founder of the White Spuce Seed Group along with two other members of the OBOD, Will and Bryn.
