Hovering in the Photon Sphere

We are now hovering in the region known as the photon sphere. We are a little closer to the black hole (our mean radius from the singularity equals 1.5 times the Schwarzschild radius, or 1.5 times the radius of the event horizon). It requires an incredible amount of power to generate the acceleration we need to remain here, but our super-advanced engines are still in good shape, and the Acceleration Compensator system is keeping us from being squished by the force. This is the region where light rays can unstably orbit the black hole without being drawn in right away.

Now comes the tricky part. I will don a space suit and walky-talky (just pretend it would work) and jump into the event horizon. You can stay on the ship and observe what it looks like when something falls into the singularity of a black hole.
