What´s The X-Files?The X-Files was created by Chris Carter, a surfer turned writer/producer. The idea behind the show is that hidden deep within the basement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation building sit old and abandoned case files that have to do with unexplained phenomenon. Throughout the history of the FBI, whenever an FBI agent couldn't solve a case due to paranormal or unexplainable evidence, the case was classified as an X-File. The X-Files were considered out of the Bureau mainstream and were not actively pursued until Special Agent Fox Mulder made them his life's work. Mulder is the FBI's foremost criminal profiler, but he is driven and haunted by his younger sister's abduction by aliens when he was 12 years old. He believes the answers to his sister's abduction can be found in The X-Files. His partner is Special Agent Dana Scully, who was originally assigned to The X-Files to debunk Agent Mulder's work, yet over time she became Mulder's ally and confidante. Together they investigate all things paranormal
