{03092001}Before I start with the usual rambling, I'd like to take a brief moment to point out: school started today. And I slept until ten.
*Damn* this feels good.Last night I met up with Kene. He is preparing his next film project and I had promised him to write some texts for it, so we sat down in the pub and discussed it. The film is to be a short film of about 8 minutes, and although not one scene has been filmed until so far, I love it already.
The story is about a forty year old man, quasi-scientist, who lives in what is to be described best as a decrepit lavatory. His mad obsession with water is given reason for at the end of the film: As a little boy he saw a young woman drown in the sea right before his eyes. Thirty years later he still loves the girl. He believes surrounding himself with water keeps her near him, or rather he believes she is the water incarnate. It's got more than one way of explaining.
I think one of the first scenes is brilliant.
"6.25
Sea temperature is 18
Salt percentage 5.5
At 6.30 there will be a first high tide
that means I have got 5 minutes to prepare my bath."Originally I was going to play the girl, but then for several reasons we decided otherwise. He is now going to hire a real actress. I have seen a photo of her, she's got the right look, she is lovely, and damnit, she is going to do a better job than I would ever have!
By the way, Kene and I used to be a couple. Kene is special. And although things have been rough I can't imagine us ever stop being friends.

~Quote of the day:~
Alain.
"Ach meisje, het leven is een miseir. Ik ben geboren als een intelligente luierik, maar net niet intelligent genoeg om op een comfortable manier lui te zijn""I was born as an intelligent lazy sob, but just not intelligent enough to be lazy in a comfortable way."
Gotta love him.
