Munkustrap is the protector of the kittens. He's also the next Jellicle leader after Deuteronomy (his grandfather) goes to the Heavyside Layer (Cat Heaven). His mate is probably Demeter; she nuzzles him after he rescues her (aww!) from Macavity and they can be seen together during "Mr. Mistoffelees." Some people think he's Bombalurina's or Cassandra's mate, though. It's also a popular opinion he's Macavity's brother (gasp!) Munkustrap is a large silver and black tabby.
