Urban's Cyber Pets is basically a free, non-profit cyber pet adoption agency for your enjoyment =) I'm not trying to get rich here!
Adopting a pet is simple. First, though, you must read the Rules. Remember that you must have a home page or message board of your own to adopt! When you've finished reading, head on over to the Main Page and you will see a (moving) frame. There are two sections on the frame, the second is labled Adoptable Pets. Click on one of those links, one that you think you might find a pet for you on. Then, click on a pet you'd like to adopt, and write down/remember it's special number, the Code underneath it's picture. Click on it. You will find yourself on the Regestration Sheet. Fill it out and send it off! Your pet will be e-mailed to you ASAP! I will try to get all pets sent out immediatly!
**sigh** You need your own place to keep your new pet! If you'd like to create your own site strictly for your cyber pets, thats one solution. Angelfire is the best when it comes to homepage sponsers! I am not being paid to say this, if you are really alert you'd notice these pages themselves are sponsered by Angelfire! And no, you don't need any HTML experience - with the Basic editor, (this is using Advanced editor), you don't need to know any HTML work, it's all there for you and you select what you want. It's really very easy! They also have a privacy polocy, but you're not forced to tell your exact address, just make sure to give them your correct e-mail. If you want to make your own message board go to Inside The Web. I own a few message boards from there and they are very good (and popular!) I hope this helps you.
Uh! In the Rules it clearly states you can only adopt 3 pets per person! If, though, you made a mistake, you can e-mail Mer Girl and she will take them back =P
After you adopt a pet and place it on it's new home, it may get lonley and miss it's old home with all it's friends! Give your pet something to play with, or perhaps a piece of food to nibble on, a pretty plant to take care of, or even a little house to sleep in! In other words, Accessories are things you can use to jazz up your pet's living quarters! There are things like houses you can give your pet so it can live in it, toys to play with, plants to watch grow, and items of food to eat!
Simple. First off, you have to adopt a pet. Then, go to the Main Page by clicking here to go to the Accessories. Right-click on the image you want and save it. Go to Start, then Documents on your computer. Under Documents you will see a list of saved material. Click on the one which you've named the accessory icon. It should pop out on a window and then you copy & paste that URL onto your website by your pet! Just go.... img src="theurlhere" with <> around it!
