Congratulations to Odyssey of the Mind Teams! East Millbrook's first Odyssey of the Mind teams were winners in the Eastern
Regional tournament on March 24 at McDougle Elementary and Middle Schools in Chapel Hill. The Techno-Pets team members were first place winners, and the Achilles' Heel team won third place. First and second place winners are invited to compete in the state tournament in Hickory, NC on May 6. Please congratulate members of both teams, and wish the Techno-Pets team members well as they prepare for the state competition.
Our teams were also winners in the T-shirt design contest and the scavenger hunt. Nathan Rowe showed his outstanding creativity in creating our winning design in the "back-of-the-T-shirt" design contest.
Special thanks goes to the parent coaches: Irene Johnson (Techno-Pets), Susan Bray and David Rowe (Achilles' Heel); parent judges: Ginny Rowe and Deanna Trauberman; and tournament volunteers: Dinah Brame and Dorothy Jenkins.
