Goodbye Paul

This page is a small memorial dedicated to Paul Cattermole.

The End of an Era has a arrived in the S Club camp. 24 year old Paul Cattermole announced on March 27 that he is leaving S Club 7. He wants to merge into rock music and restart 'Skua', the band he was lead singer of in highschool. He has expressed his apologies to fans and hopes that the band can continue strongly without him as a 6. He parts on good terms with the band. To us the fans this announcement has come as a shock and he will be greatly missed.

I wish him all the best of luck for his upcoming career.

The 1st picture of "S Club" minus Paul.

Comments the remaining S Clubbers have released relating to Paul leaving the band.

Jo

“We have so much to do that we knew this could not be the end of the band."

“We are strong enough to continue without Paul but we will miss him. It is sad he is going.”

Bradley

“I can see why Paul, at 25, felt he needed to go after his dream."

“He has left the band in a good way. There hasn’t been a row, he just wants to do his kind of music.”

Hannah

“It wasn’t a big surprise because I have always known he wanted to do something different."

“I’m sad I won’t see as much of him but we have a strong relationship. Being apart might be healthy for it.”

Jon

“It has taken a while to sink in. None of us had a clue. There was no point in trying to talk Paul round. S Club is about being happy and enjoying being in the group.

Rachel

“Fans would not like it if we replaced Paul and there are already enough of us. We have been together four years and it would not be fair to bring in an outsider.”

Tina

“If any of us thought it was wrong to carry on, we wouldn’t have done. The most important thing in life is being true to yourself – and Paul was never a pop tart.”
