These are my Adoptions thus far.

On September 7, 1997, 8 year old Seleana's body was found buried in a garbage can in the back of her home. It was learned that the father threw Seleana across the room,
injuring her. Her mother did not seek medical help
for her, when Seleana died, her mother helped
to bury her in the backyard.

Both her parents Jack and Mona Volgares
were charged with her murder.
Mona has pled guilty to 2 out of 11 charges. Jack has pled not guilty.
Bail has been set at $1 million.
UPDATE.....12/10/97.. Jack has been convicted of murder, also convicted
of child endangerment, he faces life in prison.
UPDATE.....Jack was was sentenced to 37 years to life in prison.
Mona was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for
not getting Seleana medical help. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Marybeth Tinning confessed to killing three of her nine children,
by smothering them with her bed pillow, but prosecutors only
charged her with smothering her last child, Tami Lynne.
She was convicted in 1987 and sentenced
to 20 years to life in prison.

Waneta Hoyt was sentenced to 75 years
to life in prison for the murders of her children. She
confessed to smothering all of her children.
UPDATE:....Waneta Hoyt died in 1998 at the age of 52,
of cancer

FLORIDA
Beaunca was only 2 years old when she died
on September 4, 1997. She was beat to
death by her mother because she spilled
her juice on the floor. An autopsy concluded
that she had died from blunt trauma to
her head and abdomen.
Latonda Shannon, 20 years old was charged
with 1st degree murder and aggravated assault.
UPDATE 4-18-01 Latonda Shannon was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse for the beating death of her 2-year-old daughter.
Jurors deliberated for four hours before convicting Latonda Shannon of murdering Beaunca
Prosecutors said that Beaunca was beaten or kicked with such force that internal organs were ruptured or torn.

Little Cory was just 4 years old when he was murdered
by his adoptive mother. He was beaten to death. He had
other signs of abuse on his tiny body which included,
burns to his hands from scalding water and bruises
on his stomach, back and head. What is so tragic is that
Corey's older bother aged 8 had been removed from the same
house months earlier because authorities suspected abuse.

On July 4, 1997 45 year old, Eddiesenior Jones McLaughlin
was charged with murder.
