Well Hello my darlings!
Welcome to my little bit of the cyber world!
Let me give you a minor introduction to myself.
My name is Alisa...pronounced, quite simply as ah-lis-ah
(you'd be surprised at the amount of people who cannot pronounce my name).
I am in my early-mid 20's and welcome the progress of age.
I live in eastern Canada (the greatest country in the world, in my opinion).
I am currently a student at NSCC and am glad to be back in school after 6 years.
I am a unique personality with lots to me but then again, who isn't.
I am a repressed, hopeless romantic. I have been known to be a mushy mess at times.
I also have been known to have a slightly maniacal, evil side (like trying to figure out the best way to slowly drive someone mad).
I don't have any defined religious faith. I have ideas and beliefs but I haven't been able to categorize or label them.
I have issues with organized religion but that's my deal (so don't judge).
I enjoy life very much, despite the occasional negativities.
I am fairly skilled in the fine values of tolerance, patience, and open-mindedness.
I have been brought up very well in a warm and loving atmosphere (with an ample amount of constructive criticism and sarcasm).
My upbringing has taught me values of art and culture and beauty.
I've been known to have a gift with words in some form, writing poetry when the inspiration hits me.
My interests, hobbies, things that generally mean a lot to me, etc., include such things as...
Family (I am blessed with close relatives that I love so very much...despite our differences)
Friends (I really like the concept of family we chose for ourselves and that is exactly what my friends are to me...another family)
Reading (big on the magical world of Harry Potter...now trying to get into the Tolkien stuff)
Writing (it's my best way of ensuring my sanity...if you can't say anything nice, write it down for yourself)
Music (all kinds...as much as possible...and I generally like it LOUD)
Cross-stitch, knitting, and making jewelry (I enjoy the sense of pride and accomplishment I get from such activities)
