The Packing List
As I am always wondering what everybody else carries along with them, it occurred to me that others might share my curiosity, so here is a list of every item that goes in my backpack. The pack itself is a twenty five liter affair that most people use as a daypack. I have used it in other parts of the world and find that it has enough room for the limited gear that I carry. It also tends to stop me from packing things that I don,t realy need.
1 pair of trousers
1 Shirt
1 pair of shorts
2 T-shirts
4 pair of underwear
1 hat
1 pair of Sandals
1 pair of hiking boots
2 pair of socks
1 polyprop shirt --- Just in case the temperature realy drops and a lot smaller then a jacket.
1 small towel --- I normally take just a hand towel.
Washing & Shaving Kit
First Aid Kit
Sleeping Bag --- This one that has down only on top and compresses to next to nothing.
Camera --- An excellent camera with both automatic and full manual control.
USB Card Reader --- So I can download photos from my camera to a computer.
Palm Pilot --- The bottom of the line model but it does exactly what I want.
Guide book & Maps
Water Bottle ---Old and beaten up but still the best water bottle money can buy.
Swiss card --- This is a gadget with a small pen knife & scissors in it.
Nylon cord --- About three meters to use as a washing line.
Head torch
Sewing Kit --- One of the minimalist ones they give away in expensive hotels.
Dry Bag --- A small one to keep my camera in.
