Info about dinosaurs

Stegosaursus is one of the plated dinosaurs, suborder Stegosauria, order Ornithischia. Adults were about 6m long, and weighed about 4 tons. Stegosaur fossils were found in the late Jurassic rocks in western North America, Europe, and Africa you can say the dinosaur was all over the world. The rocks are about 150 million years old. The Stegosaurus apparently was never very abundant or diverse.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

The T-Rex lived in Asia and North America. It's name means Tyant lizard. The T-Rex wieghts 7 tons. The T-Rex is so big he is bigger than a double-decker bus. Brachiosaurus

One of the largest of the sauropod dinosaurs, Brachiosaurus was about 70 ft long, 12 m high, and weighed an estimated 78 metric tons. It is believed to have been amphibious, seeking deep waters to avoid predators and to feed on water plants. Specimens were first found in Colorado, and are now also known from Europe and Africa. The brachiosaurus has a really big neck and a long body. They use the long neck is used to eat of big trees. It only eats plants.

Hallopus

Hallopus, lived about 140 million years ago. It is known largely from an incomplete skeleton collected in N.A. Although it was originally classified as a dinosaur. Some researchers believe it was a thecodont, while others believe it was a crocodilian. Hallopus was like a bird, with a long neck and a small head. The forelimbs were reduced in size and equipped with three functional fingers.

Palaeoscincus

Palaeoscincus is an armored little dinosaur that lived about 80 million years ago. It lived in North America and it eats plants, squat-bodied animal attaining about 15 ft in length. It had a turtlelike head, and its back was protected by lengthwise rows bony plates between which ran rows of smaller scales that provided flexibility. The tail was encased in bony rings and terminated in a heavy, clublike mass of bone. Palaeoscincus, which translates literally as ancient kind of lizard.

Protoceratops

Protoceratops is the oldest of the dinosaur group. Known from a great many skeletons collected in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia from late Cretaceous strata, about 90 million years old, it is one of the few dinosaurs whose young and near-hatching stages are known. Protoceratops, a herbivore, was about 6.5 ft long and weighed 300 lb or more. It had a large turtle-beaked head, almost as long as the trunk of the body, and the flattened parietal and squamosal bones at the rear of the skull were flared out to form a crest, or frill; unlike its descendants, it has no horns.
