chapter two

Taylor woke up the next morning to find his older brother gone, and his younger one still sound asleep. He figured Isaac went down for breakfast. His parents often let the boys do that after a long trip, sleep as long as they wanted and come down for breakfast whenever. Taylor drew back the covers, got up and went into the bathroom to change. When he emerged from the bathroom, he took a key and left a note for Zac to come down to breakfast when he woke up.

When Taylor got out of the elevator, he saw a girl about 20 feet away from him. She had black silky hair, a black shirt, black pants, and was looking at him with dark eyes. He blinked, rather surprised to see the girl in front of him. But as soon as he blinked, she was gone. Weird he thought. Must have been the same girl Ike saw yesterday. Suddenly he didn't think his brother was so nuts after all. Maybe I need the sleep..........

Taylor entered the restaraunt, looking for his family. That wasn't too hard, seeing as his family had nine members. He said good morning to everyone, then sat down for some breakfast. Soon Zac came down, and about an hour later, they all went back to their rooms to get ready for the days interviews.

Hiding from view, Faya watched the family eat. She smiled to herself, thinking her job would be all too easy.

Zac and his brothers entered the radio station, K104 (Author's note: This is a real station, it's the one I listen to...but I don't know any Los Angles radio stations, so I'm just using this one...and the DJs names are fake, sorry if they're real.) He looked around the rather small studio, surprised that this big of a station had such a small studio. "Hi!" came a chipper voice from across the room. A young looking woman came across the meet them. "I'm Dawn Marketer, but you can call me Dawn. I'm one of the DJs here at K104." she said smiling, shaking each the of boys hands as they said hi. "The studio where you'll be talking to Kevin is right over here." she said. "Gee, could she be any more chipper?" Isaac whispered into Taylor's ear as Tay let out a soft laugh.

"...and this is Dwight, the producer. Well, how do you like this place so far?" Dawn asked the three boys. "It's.....nice" Zac complemented. The tour was so boring he'd rather be cooped up in his room than take that tour again. Isaac and Taylor felt the same way. Dawn introducted them to practly every human being that had ever stepped foot into the studio. "Oh, and I have three more people for you boys to meet--my daughter and her two best friends." The boys cheered up at the thought of meeting some girls and readily followed Dawn into the room where the girls were watching MTV.

"They're right in here, make yourselves at home." Dawn smiled sweetly at them. They thanked her and knocked softly on of the door. "Come on it" came the reply. Isaac opened the door and found three young girls watching TV. Two were on the floor, while one was sprawled out on the couch. The one of the couch had dark hair down to her shoulders and brown eyes. She looked about 12 or 13, and was wearing a shirt that had LTD TWO written across the front and a pair of baggy jeans. The girl on the right, who was sitting on the floor, also had brown hair and hazel eyes framed by a pair of glasses. She too was wearing jeans, slightly tighter than the other girl, and a bright green top. She looked about 15 or so. The girl sitting next to her had brown hair also, and blue eyes, also framed with glasses. She was wearing a fitted blue shirt and a pair of jeans slighty frayed at the bottom. She looked about 13 or 14. It was her who got up when she saw the boys.

"Hi!" she said as she stuck out her hand. "I'm Jordan, and these are my friends Noelle," she gestured to the girl on the couch as she waved, "and Lara." she gestured to the girl who was sitting next to her. "Hey" she said. "We all love you guys, and think your very talented." Jordan said. "Thanks!" said Zac. "Here, come on in!" Lara said. "Yeah, Jo, c'mon, have some manners. Noelle said jokingly. Jordan let out a big laugh. "I'm sorry. C'mon in and make your selves at home." "Thanks" said both Taylor and Isaac at almost the same time.

Noelle moved her legs as Zac sat down next to her. Jordan sat down next Lara, and Taylor sat next to her. Isaac sat down next to Lara. "So, how long are you guys gonna be here?" Lara asked. "About three weeks. We have some interviews, photo shoots and stuff." Taylor answered. "Yeah. Hey, are all the DJs here in LA as chipper as your mom?" Zac said, half-joking. Jordan laughed as Noelle answered. "No, thank God." she said with a crooked grin on her face. Jordan playfully smacked the girl sitting behind her, who was laughing. "Noelle! My mom's not that bad." Jordan said with a smile on her face. "Just a little too much coffee in the morning." Though she didn't hear it, Zac muttered under his breath "I'll say."

The six of them spend the next half hour just talking and watching MTV. They saw the guys' new video Weird, plus a few more videos to songs they really liked. A knock came on the door as it slowly opened. "Come on in, Mom." Jordan said as she saw her mother's face appear behind the door. "Just wanted to tell the guys that we're ready for the interview!" she said, just as chipper as she had been half an hour ago. The three girls wanted to be there for the interview, so they followed Ike, Taylor and Zac out of the room.

After what seemed like forever, the interview was finally over. The six teenagers decided to go to McDonalds for some lunch. "FOOD!" Zac said a little too excidedly when the idea was mentioned. He pretened to suffer from starvation. Taylor smacked his brother playfully on the back of his head with a grin on his face. He looked at Jordan and shook his head. I'm really starting to enjoy her company....... "Alright, Micky D's is down the street a few blocks. It's not a long walk, c'mon." Lara said. The six of them walked out of the building, careful not to get any attention from passing girls. As they were sitting eating their lunch, laughing and talking, Zac spotted a girl dressed in alot of black. Though he didn't know it, it was the same girl whom his brothers had seen earlier. He blinked in surprise, but yet, as soon as he blinked, she was gone. He sat confused for a moment, but shook his head and returned to his Big Mac.

Lara, Jordan, and Noelle had all exchanged phone numbers with the guys. They offered a grand tour of the city, which was instantly agreed to. The guys had some more interviews to do, so they went back to the studio to find their family.

After Ike, Tay, and Zac had about four more interviews, two photo shoots, and had dinner, they all went straight up to bed. Everyone was dead tired. The three boys all collapsed on their beds (With Noelle, Lara, and Jordan with them......*snickers*) and went right to sleep.

It was 2:00 AM when Zac suddenly bolted upright, sweat pouring down his face. He was breathing heavily, quite scared from his nightmare he'd just had. He'd been walking down the street with his brothers back home in Tulsa. It was a sunny day, and they were enjoying it, laughing and having alot of fun. Suddenly Noelle was at his side, laughing with the three of them. Zac looked at her, told her a few jokes and such. Then, at one of his jokes, she started laughing very hard. Very hard. She tossed her head back, now cackling. A strong wind had come along, making her hair fly around her. Suddenly the sky became black, as did Noelle's hair. She started to morph into a diffrent girl, the same one he'd seen for a split second in McDonalds earlier that day. The wind grew stronger, everyone on the street had dissappeared, and the girl who had once been Noelle was slowly turning to face him, still cackling. Yes, it was deffinatly the strange girl he'd seen at lunch. Her eyes were dark, with a frightening glare. Her teeth, as Zac suddenlt realized, were pointed. His eyes had grown very wide, and he was frozen in place. His mind was whirrling, even in his dream, as the wind became stronger and stronger by the second, her cackle becoming louder and louder, until-- he woke up, sweating in his bed. He looked around the hotel; everything was quiet, his brothers sleeping peacfully on either side of him. He swallowed hard. The dream had been so real, so frighteningly real.....................

In the complete darkness, Faya smiled. It hadn't taken much ro frighten the young boy; she'd continue the nightmares for a little while. Maybe make him on the verge of sanity, or perhaps just scaring him for the pure enjoyment of it. Yes, this job would be quite easy, she thought. Quite easy.
