There have been some amazing studies done on the rain forest. Both medical and zoological.

Many people envy the tribes who live in the Amazon, due to the fact that they are constantly surrounded by beauty. The Amazonian people have a very distinct characteristic: they have a great commitment of living in harmony with nature. The region is so large, and the population so small, that the residents are able to live in balance with the rain forests’ natural resources. Areas within the Amazon, however, have already been heavily impacted by outside intrusions. Such as, the government settlement programs, over-exploitation, and poorly planned, unsustainable development projects. At the moment there are several plans for dams, and roads to be built which will surely lead to further development schemes. The remarkable biological diversity of the Amazon must be preserved, but we also have to take into consideration, and respect the country’s rights to the financial benefits of the resources that the Amazon provides. Due to this fact, the preservation activists must take into account the people living in the Amazon region.

Possible Projects in the Futurthe animals and insects that live there. There are over 3 million species in the Amazon and we only know about 100 000 of them. Imagine, all of those species dying without us even knowing about them. It might not seem like much to you when you hear about all of the dying animals and trees, but there is one more thing that might change your mind..........When we destroy the trees and the animals, we destroy the plants. Plants, you might say, plants, big deal. But, some of the plants in the rain forest are used in valuable medicines needed in today’s medical facilities. These plants could bring some medical break-through’s, and here we are throwing them away. If we could see what we are doing to the rain forest or maybe if we could get a trees point of view or perhaps an animals then maybe we could understand. But, then again maybe we never will...........

Studies done:

Studies have been done in the Amazon time and time again. Not all of them were for the pollution levels. They used to go to discover new things, like animals and plants. But not now. There have been some amazing studies done on the rain forest. Both medical and zoological.

Possible Projects in the Future:

In the years that have passed the Amazon has been the main focus of many studies, more so than any other ecosystem on the planet! There has been a great concern because of increasing deforestation levels, this greatly affects the biodiversity, and the potential long-term effects on the global-climate change. Due to these very important facts and the effects of them , a group of scientist have gotten together and started to create a plan on how to conserve the rain forest. I would like to say that we helped them. We have to save theses diverse habitats. Think how much we will loose if we don’t save them!

Conclusion:

While most of the Amazon still remains intact, the push to develop this vast region of Brazil is still on. The amount of land that the want to industrialize is virtually half the size of the United States! The people of Brazil are only now beginning to realize that the posses something magical and unique: the worlds most diverse plants, animals, and landscapes. This feeling for the Amazon has been received world-wide attention in the last 10 years, and it is getting stronger. Conservation of this wonderful place is very important, not just for me, but for everyone! We need the Amazon, it isn’t just another forest. It is Paradise, and it’s fading fast.
