"AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" screamed Susie from her cot on the floor of Stacey's room on that Saturday morning. "What?! What?!" Stacey yelled sitting straight up, eyes wide open from being waken up. "Oh, sorry. I just dreamed I got a phone call from you and you said Hanson was at your house and asked me if I could go to an interviewwith them and my mom said yes, and then Zac was pretending to be my boyfriend, then you were Taylor's girlfriend and we all went on a pretend date together! Can you believe it?" "Um, Susie? That did happen."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-" "Would you be quiet!" Stacey hissed as she covered Susie's mouth. "My mom will think thereıs a fire or something!" "Sorry! I just canıt believe itıs true. What time is it? When were we suppose to call Zac, Taylor, and Ike? How does my-" "It's true, 7:30, 8:00. And yes, your hair looks fine!" "How'd you know I was gonna say that?" "I know you too well I guess." They both got out of bed and got dressed, ate some cereal, and made their beds. It was 5 till 8:00 and Susie was hysterical. "How much longer?!" she cried. "Five more minutes." Stacey said for what seemed like the millionth time. "Oh come on! They're probably sitting by the phone waiting!"
"Ring, ring, ring, oh please ring..." Zac kept repeating sitting right by the phone. "Ugh, would you be quiet!" Ike groggily called from his bed. "Sorry! ring, ring, ring- " RRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGG! Went the phone. "Hello?!" yelled Zac and Taylor at the same time (they were on different extensions). "Hi, is Zac or Taylor there?" said two voices."This is him!" said Taylor and Zac together again. "HI!" said the two voices. "This is Susie-Stacey!"
"What? Are you both twins or something?" said Zac, alone this time. "Sorry, we both just ended up saying the same thing!" said Susie. "You guys want to talk first?" asked Taylor. "Okay." said Zac and Susie together. "Ooookay." said Taylor. He and Stacey hung up. Zac and Susie talked for awhile then Susie gave the phone to Stacey. "Hello?"
"Hey Stace! Um, you guys wanna come swim in the hotel's pool?"n "Let me ask my mom, hold on." Stacey asked her mom and to Stacey's amazement her mom said, YES! "Okay, when should we come?" "Ike could pick you guys up now, if thatıs all right-" "SURE!" "Great! See you in about twenty minutes." "Okay, bye!"
"Bye!" When Stacey came back into her room she told Susie that they would be seeing the Hanson's in about twenty minutes. Susie squealed with delight. In about five minutes the girls were waiting outside Stacey's house. "When will they be here?!" complained Susie. "Susie we have about 15 more minutes to wait. Donıt worry they'll be here. Then all of the sudden the Hanson's blue van pulled up. Susie jumped up and down in total excitement. "Calm down you animal!" Stacey said laughing. "I can't help it!" Susie exclaimed.
"HI!" screamed Zac jumping out of the van. "Hi, Dastie!"(Stacey) said Mac climbing out of
Taylor's lap."Hey, Mac! Ready to go swimming?" Stacey asked. "He's been ready since eight thirty, huh Mac?" said Taylor. "Yup!" said Mac with an ear-to-ear smile. "Well," Stacey said "Why donıt we go right now?" "Yeah!" "Okay, all Hanson's and any extras, in the car!" said Ike tapping the steering wheel to the radio. Everyone started running into the van as soon as Ike said that. Susie was falling over Avie and Jessie, Stacey got in the van in time to get a window seat. After everyone was seated,
Ike slowly drove down Staceyıs very long, curvy, steep drive way. "All right Ike!" everyone shouted after he let out a little sigh for not crashing into Staceyıs mailbox or something (Susie's auntie really did run the mailbox over once). "Thank you, thank you! Would you all like my autograph?" Ike said laughing. "Well, maybe after we go swimming. It's sooooo HOT! And look it's only 9:25!² said Zac shocked. "Itıs pretty hot Ike, can you drive just a little bit faster?" asked Jessie. "How fast?" Ike said kiddingly. "A hundred, million, zillion!" said Mac with a cute little smile.
After the 10 min. drive plus about five minutes of screaming girls chasing them they were looking around for Mr. and Mrs. Hanson. "Maybe they're on the beach." Stacey suggested. "Yeah, good thinking Stace." Ike said. They all walked on the beach. Looking around Taylor said "Uh, oh!" "Uh, oh? What uh, oh?" Zac asked. "That uh, oh!" Taylor pointed to about five girls running towards them screaming, "HANSON!!" "That's a big uh, oh." Ike said as two 15 to 16 year old girls screamed, "IT'S IKE! OH MY GOSH!!" and ran even harder. "Oh please!" Jessie said rolling her eyes. When the girls were about to run into everyone they stopped running and screaming and just stared, until one of the girls said shyly, "Are you Hanson?" "Yes." said Ike.
All the girls squealed and said trying not to scream, "Can we have your autograph?" After Ike,
Taylor and Zac signed their name on the girls' T-shirts and shook their hands. The girls said I love you and Thank you over a million times then finally left. "Ooookay." said Zac after the girls left. "Where's mom and dad?"
"Ike! Tay! Zac! Over here!" the voice belonged to Walker. "There they are!" said Zac pointing to the juice stand. "Mom, dad, where were you? We've been looking all over for you." said Taylor as everyone walked over to the two Hanson parents. "Sorry we were so hot we needed a drink. We were just about to order, what do you guys want?" asked Diana. "What's Kim Chee?" asked Zac scrunching up his nose. "Is it a drink?" "Its not a drink." answered Stacey. "Its like pickled cabbage. I, personally, donıt like it." "Am I too young to have beer?" Zac asked "Yes." said everyone.
"How about root beer?" "That's fine." said Diana. "Water." said Taylor "7up! It's an up thing. Its cool and its wonderful, and its lemon and lime." sang Susie doing a dance with Avie. "I'll have Root Beer too." said Ike "Coke please." said Stacey. And Jessie, Avie, and Mac all got juice. After the waitress got the drinks, everyone gulped theirs down and took a dash for the pool. The Marriott pool was a big circular pool with a bridge going to the little island in the middle, which had lawn chairs and stairs leading into the pool. One half of the pool was facing Kalipaki Beach and the other side was facing part of the hotel. There is fish squirting water out into the pool and that makes it fun.
fast he ended up in the pool! "Let's have a race." said Zac after he popped out of the water. "Wanna have a race?" asked Taylor. "Yeah." "Sure." "Okay." It was unanimous. Everyone took their time getting in the pool and Ike got the honors of saying go. "All right, everyone ready?" he asked. "Yeah." said everyone. "Okay, on your mark get set, no go!" Everyone started laughing. "C'mon say go." Zac said. "Okay, okay, okay. You guys really ready?" "Yes!" said everyone.
"On your mark, get set, no go!" "Ike!" said everyone, not thinking that was funny any more. "Sorry, I meant, GO!" Ike took off and everyone started going too. At the end Ike won (well duh, he had a head start), Taylor was 2nd place, Stacey 3rd, and Zac and Susie sorta tied for 4th. "Hey, Stacy Marties." that voice couldn't belong to anyone else but Carmen Daniel, Stacey's #1 enemy. "Hi, Carmen." Stacey said, the thought of Carmen being there made Stacey feel queasy.
Carmen had brown hair that she dyed in all different colors. And she always felt good by making
people feel bad. "I didn't know you still liked those Hanson girl-guys so much." Carmen said putting her hand on her hip. Stacey remembered the terrible memory five months earlier. Stacey ran into Borders books and music and excitedly got a Middle of Nowhere CD. She gave it a big smile and tuned to see Carmen was watching her. Carmen made a bunch of bad remarks about Hanson that made Stacey try to punch her. Stacey missed and Carmen laughed and made a bunch of bad remarks about Stacey. Stacey got out of the pool and said, "Yeah I still do."
"Oh ew! Those punk girls!" Carmen said pointing to Isaac, Taylor, and Zac. That does it, thought Stacey. "Carmen why don't you go get a life...in the pool!" Stacey pushed Carmen in the pool. Carmen came up gasping for air in a pool of yellow, green, and red water around her(from her hair), and went red with anger. She said a few more things and left sopping wet.
Stacey felt really bad for pushing Carmen in the pool, but kept telling herself that she deserved it. After Ike, Taylor, Zac, Stacey and Susie swam a little bit more, they said they all needed a break. Taylor was about to burst with curiosity and said when they got out of the pool, "Who was that Carmen girl?" "Well, she and I used to be best friends until 6th grade. She got into a gang and just went wild. And she's been like that ever since."
"Oh." "There you guys are." everyone turned around it was Diana and Mac. "Mac and I needed a break. You tired Mac?" Mac rubbed his eyes and nodded. "Want to take a nap?" "Okay." Mrs. Hanson looked at the clock and said, "Oh, look, it's 4:15! We have to get ready for dinner. Oh, yeah that's what I forgot. Stacey, Susie would you like to come with us. Or are you tired of us already?" "How can we say no!" said Susie.
The Hanson's dropped Stacey and Susie off at their houses and said they would pick each of them up at 6:15. Stacey was the last to be dropped off. "Stacey, do you know of any good restaurants?" asked Mrs. Hanson. "Any good around our hotel?" "Well, my favorite is with in walking distance. It's called Dukes (*authorıs note:there is a restaurant called Dukes on Kauai). And it isnıt to fancy but itıs not junky (*author's note: sorry that was the only word I could come up with.) it's somewhere in between." "Do they have burgers or something for the kids?" "Oh, yeah. They have a kids menu with pizza and those things." "Yeah!" said Avie. "Can we go there?" said Mac.
"Sounds good!" said Walker giving his wife a hint. "Okay, so we're going to Dukes." "Yeah!" went the car. "Pick you up at 6:15." said Diana. "Okay, bye!" said Stacey as the van started rolling down the driveway. Stacey ran up to her room and had the hardest time deciding what to wear. But she finally grabbed her nice long, black overalls, a white shirt, and her light black jacket. She took a shower played with her hair a little bit and put on her black and white Reebock shoes. She was about to call the hotel as soon as the van pulled up. "Sorry! I had to find my headband." said Susie.
"Thanks for saying hi." kidded Stacey after the whole Hanson family said hello to her. "Oh, sorry. Hi!" Susie was wearing jeans with a purple shirt. "Hey guys. When was the first time you saw us? What 'da do?" asked Zac turning to Stacey and Susie. "It was on Susie's birthday." said Stacey. "I went with her and her parents to the Hyatt and we all were trying to go to sleep but the TVwas on, we were watching Jay Leno. And you guys just so happened to come on." "Your birthday is July 11?" asked Zac. "Yup." "Cool."
