{Meanwhile, back at the Hanson house…}
"You and Kristin seem to be getting close there Tay," an exhausted Diana Hanson said. "Yeah, they’re going out," said Zac making kissing noises. "Oh really," says Diana. "Yeah," says Taylor, kinda embarrassed. Zac is still making kissing noises and Taylor chases him. "Boys!" Diana calls, "Settle down." Taylor stops running and goes into the room that he shares with Isaac. He puts the picture of you and him over his picture of Jennifer Aniston in the black frame with glittery red hearts.
The phone by Taylor’s bed rings. He answers it and it’s Walker. "Hi dad." "Hello Son. How are you?" "Good dad," Tay says, tired. "What’s wrong? Don’t you like it there?" "I love it here Dad!" he exclaims. "Really?" Walker asks amused. "Hey is your mom around?" "Yeah hang on." "MOM!" Taylor yells down the hallway. "IT’S DAD!" "OK hang it up!" Diana calls. She and Walker talk for a while and Walker asks to talk to Taylor again. "HI dad," Tay says. "Hey lady-killer," Walker jokes, "Your mom told me you met a girl named Kristin and now you’re dating." "Yeah." "Well I can’t wait to meet her, and I gotta go Zoë is crying. Tell Ike and Zac hi for me." "OK bye dad."
Dong-dong the doorbell rang at precisely 10:00 am. "Bye mom!" you yell out the back door. You run out the front door and into Taylor’s arms. He hugs you and you run to the van. "Hi," you say to everyone. "Hi," they greet you back. You drive to Ontario International Airport. Walker and the kids were getting off at gate 18. You walk over there and wait for Walker and the kids. You were leaning against Taylor. Luckily the plane was on time. Many passengers got before finally Walker emerges carrying Mackie and Zoë. Jessica and Avery followed. You were almost asleep and weren’t paying attention when Taylor moves suddenly to wave to his dad. You jerk awake.
Mackenzie gets put down and runs to Zac and slaps him five. He goes over to Tay and says, "Hi.’ Taylor picks him up. "I missed you Tay, who is that?" he asks, pointing to you. "This is my, uh girlfriend, Kristin." "Hi," you say waving to Mackie. "Hi Kristin," the four year old says. You look over to your left and Ike is holding Zoë while Diana and Walker embraced. Walker walks over to you and holds out his hand. "I’m Walker," he says. You shake his extended hand. "I’m Kristin, Tay’s girlfriend." "I kinda figured you were when I saw you with my son’s arms around you." "Oh," you say.
You all squish into the van. Diana and Walker up front. Diana is holding Zoë. Mackie, Avery, Jessie, and Zac in the middle, Mackie and Avery, sharing a seat belt. You, Tay, and Ike were in the back. You were so tired, you stayed up LATE the night before, you couldn’t sleep. Your head slipped off his shoulder and on to his chest. He played with your hair while you slept. When you came to their house, he kissed your cheek and said, "Wake up sleeping beauty." You smiled and stretched. You unbuckled yourself and hopped out of the van.
