Forever And A day

Welcome to my stary called Forever And A Day written by ME--KMT!!! J/KMristin Marie Theobald. Please don't take anything from this story. The character is based totally on me and the dance class and friends names are completely NON fiction, meaning real but i am no way affiliated with Hanson or Mercury Records or anything like that. Thanks

"OK, I’ll be right over…OK…OK bye," you say hanging up the phone. "MOM! I’m going over to Tiffany’s house," you yell to your mom. "You’re crazy! You are rollerblading over there in 40 degree weather when the wind is blowing 40 mph." "Will you take me?" "NO, I’m making dinner." Then I’m rollerblading to Tiffany’s’." "Call when you get there." "OK bye mom." You go out the door.

You rollerblade down your street, Hollyvale Ave. and you turn on Empire Pl. You take Empire to Courtside St. and skated past Gary Kampen’s house. You turn on Laurel Oak Rd. and skated past your friend Melissa’s house. Mom’s crazy, you think to yourself, it’s perfectly fine out here.

You pass the first cross street on Laurel Oak called Faywood Ave. you look to your right at the track that you and your friends used to ride your bikes on out in the desert. That was until your bike got stolen right out of your garage. Most people thought that the hot, deserty area that was Victorville, California was safe, and it was, most of the time.

You pass the cross-street of Topaz and looked both ways. In the distance to your right, you saw a kid riding his bike. I used to have a bike you thought sarcastically, and then you started to laugh. You laughed all the way to Scotch Pine. A street you knew too well.

You stopped in Scotch Pine and looked down the street at the house where you used to baby-sit for 4 kids. You loved those kids, especially the little girl, 5 or 6 now, named Kasie. You looked over across the street from the house and noticed three blond boys. All very cute and decided, even though she was your best friend, Tiffany Lines could wait.

You skate closer for a better look at them. You caught the youngest one looking at you and now, you could see that he was cuter than ever! You decided to casually skate up the street and get an even better look. You passed by the old house of the Chiccini’s and saw a moving truck in the driveway and got a little sad. Now, their house was officially filled.

You got to the top of the culdesac and skated back down. You got to where the guys were but on the opposite side of the street and saw the middle one grind the sidewalk with his rollerblades. You watched in awe and didn’t see the huge rock in front of you. Your wheel tried to go over it but failed, knocking you forwards, scraping you knee and then backwards, where you fell on your butt.

You saw the looks on the guys’ faces and you lay down in the middle of the street, driving a pretend stake into your heart. The sun was bright so you closed your eyes, waiting for the guys to go away. You could see through your lids that the sun was being blocked by something. You open your eyes and see 3 blond heads blocking the sun. "Are you OK?" the oldest asks. "Great," you groan, "I fall rollerblading, lay down to make a joke out of it and Hanson, my favorite band is standing over me, I didn’t know you could die from rollerblade falls." The guys laugh and the middle one holds out a helping hand and you take it. He pulls you to your feet and says, " Are you hurt?" "Just my dignity, but I’ll get over it." He smiles a gap-toothed smile that sends shivers down your spine. "Woah, looks at your knee," says the youngest. "That was a nasty fall," the oldest finishes.

You look down at your knee with blood dripping down it. "Shit," you say, "Oh sorry, I mean shoot," you correct your self. "Don’t worry about it," the middle one says. "We haven’t been properly introduced," you say, "I’m Kristin Theobald, u can call me Kris if you want, I live a few streets away." "The middle one shakes your extended hand, "I’m Taylor, call me Tay." "I’m Zac, call me Zac." You laugh, "OK Zac." "And I’m Isaac, call me Ike though," says the oldest also shaking your hand.

"Do you want a Band-Aid for your knee?" asks Isaac. "Umm sure," you say. They lead you into the house. "Mom this is Kristin, call her Kris she fell rollerblading." "Their mom shook your hand and said, "Wow, that’s some scrape!" She handed you a big Band-Aid and said, the bathroom is..." " I know where it is," you interrupt her politely. You walk into the bathroom, still the same except now, instead of 4 toothbrushes, there was 6. You put the Band-Aid on and walk back out into the kitchen. Zac was sitting at the big kitchen table along with Isaac and Taylor and he said, "Hey Kris, how did you know where the bathroom is? This house is kind of confusing." "Well I used to baby-sit for the four kids that lived here before you guys." "Oh," Taylor said.

"You are not a Hanson fan are you?" Diana asks you. "A big one actually," you say, "Why?" "Well you didn’t scream at them or anything." "Well, I went to a No Doubt concert last year and..." "No Doubt cool!" Zac cut in. "Zac don’t interrupt, Isaac says. "Oh, sorry." "...And everyone was screaming and it got annoying! No Doubt was my favorite band at the time but dang! This one girl was singing and dancing, and I couldn’t see around her and it was so dumb!" you exclaim and jump up demonstrating how she was swinging her hand back and forth in front of her. You started singing lyrics in a degrading voice and everyone dissolved in laughter.

You sat back down and said, "Wana go rollerblading?" "Sure," the guys say. You all strap your rollerblades on and went out into the streets. "Oh no!" you exclaim hitting yourself in the head. "What?" asks Taylor. "I was on my way to my friends house when I came up here to look at those people’s old house." "Tell her you can’t go," Taylor says and then becomes shocked with his attitude. I’m never that mean he thinks to himself. "I can’t, my mom was going to pick me up for dance class there. And I haven’t seen her all Spring Break." "Oh, you dance?" Isaac says curiously. "Yeah." "What kind? Ballet? Tap? Jazz?" "Nope." "What then?" "Hip-Hop Funk." Zac bursts out laughing. "Where do you dance at?" asks Isaac. "Umm Hook Rec. an Hook and Joshua." "Oh," Isaac says. Zac is still laughing. "What?" "Nothing," he says.

"No, I wanna know but we gotta start skating, travel this way." "The guys follow you. You get to the end of the street and turn on the last cross-street and onto Low Chapparel, you skate down it talking the whole way. You get to the end and stop. Sycamore ST. was always busy. You wait for a car to pass and skate across it to Cobalt. You finally turn on Sierra RD , Tiffany’s street. You stop in front of her driveway. You turn to the guys and say, "Well, here I am." "Let me give you my number," Taylor says. "Our number," Ike corrects him. "Oh right our number." "I know it remember?" "Oh yeah," Taylor says. "Bye," you say. Then you turn back around, "Are you guys gonna be OK finding your way back home?" you ask them. "Maybe, you better refresh our memories," Isaac says. "OK, you go down that street," you say pointing, "Then you go across Sycamore and onto Low Chapparell and turn on the first street on your right, go down it and make a left. Keep going up the street and the first street on your left is your street." "Thanks, " the guys chorus. "Bye," you say.

You ring the doorbell and hear Tiffany’s dog Sandy barking. You knock on the door and Sandy knocks more. You finally ring the bell again and Tiffany answers, her dad behind her. "Hi," you say. "Hi," she says and lets you in. "I was like, what’s that dog barking at?" "Can I use your phone?" you ask her, "I told my mom I’d call when I got here." Tiff led you into the kitchen and handed you the black cordless phone. You dialed your number and your brother answered. You had to fight with your brother to talk to your mom. Finally your mom got on the phone. "Hello?" "Hi mom, I’m here." "OK bye." "Bye." You pressed the off button and hung up the phone.

You went into Tiffany’s room and she climbed on her exercise bike. You look through her new CD’s and she had like seven of them! "Dang!" "I had a gift certificate," she sayd innocently. "For how much?" 100 dollars?!" "Ha ha." She looks at the clock and put her Green Day CD in. "Five more minutes," she says. "Hey did you ask if you could go skating?" she asks you. "No I don’t have much money," you say. "It’s only $4.50" she cuts in. "I know but you see- I am probably the strongest believer in voulentary simplicity." "Huh?" Tiffany asks totally confused. "I saw it on Daria, it’s a different way of saying you’re broke." "Oh." "The timer on the bike went off and she stopped petaling.

You follow her into the computer room, grabbing a chair from the desk on the wat to the walk-in closet where the computer was set up. You walked past the smelly bird cage. "Wanna go on-line?" she asks. "Sure," you say, never passing up the chance to chat with new people. She double clicks on the AOL icon and gets connected. Her buddy list comes up and she exclaims, "He’s still on!" "Who?" you ask. "DJ." "Oh."

She checks her e-mail and it says, "Hot teen pics." "No thanks," she says out loud while deleting it. She double clicks on DJ’s screen name on her biddy list and when the Instant Message board comes up, she types, "You still on?"

DJ- Yup, you back

Tiff- Yup, my friend’s over.

DJ- Which one?

Tiff- A different one (Kristin).

DJ- Does Kristin have AOL?

Tiff- Yup

DJ- What’s her s/n?

Tiff- Kewl7Blond and Hansn13grl

DJ- AHHHHHHHHHHH, she likes Hanson?

(this remark made you mad so you took control of the keyboard)

- What’s wrong with that?

Nuthin

You go into a teen chat room and locate the profile for Hitchferk. Tiff IM’s him and types: I think you mean Pitchfork. He IM’s back and types: Nope Hitchferk cuz I’m a BMXer.

Tiff- Oh

Hitchferk- Why you from?

Tiff- (after you and her stop laughing from the above remark) Cali why you from?

You talk some more and then you hear a car horn honk. You grab the chair and put it back and run out the front door. You climb into the car and your excitement bubbles over and you say, "Guess who I met today." "I don’t know Kristin," she answers. "Well, I’ll give you a hint, they are 12, 15, and 17 year old guys." "Excuse me??? 15 and 17 year old guys?" "Mom it’s HANSON!" "Uh-huh sure Kristin," she says. "No really mom," you try to convince her. "OK sure Kristin, a voice speaks up from the back of the car. "Ughh," you moan, "Why do they have to come?" you ask pointing to your little brother and his friend. "Cuz Bryan is sick and I don’t want him getting wound up and coughing. "Oh," you say, you had forgotten your little other brother was sick.

You got out of the car in front of Hook Recreational Center. "Kristin!" a voice called. You look in the direction of the voice. "HI Daundra!" you call. You run up to each other and hug. "Why are you here?" you ask her. "My sister has a game." "Oh." "Why are you here?" she asks you. "I have dance class." "You are in dance class?" "Yup- well bye," you say to her. "Bye." Even though Daundra lives only a block and a ahlf from you, you never see her. You go to separate schools. Your mom sent you to Quail Valley because it is a really good school. Hesperia, (where Daundra goes) got out an hour later and everyday after school, you go to Angela (Angie) Ernst’s house. Then, your mom picks you up after work.

"Hi!" someone calls, you turn around to find Meghan, your friend from dance class heading toward you. "Hi," you say. You go into the building and see your other friend, Amy. You punch her in the arm and say, "How was the Kid’s Choice Awards?" "Really Good." You were so jealous that she got to go see Hanson. You started talking about it and she says that she wasn’t allowed to take pictures. Normally that would have bothered you but now it didn’t cuz you know them! "OK line up!" your dance teacher, Lonnie said. You stretched out and got in line. Your legs felt so good, you had the best stretch you’d ever had in a while.

"Step touch back!" Lonnie yelled out to you. You and Meghan were partners in line and waited behind Jasmine and Breanna. They were in 4th grade and they liked to talk about people behind their backs. You didn’t like them that much. They went and then you and Meghan went. After a while of warm-ups, Lonnie announced that you were going to do the dance "Shake It." You lined up and did your rutine. Only Meghan remembered the new parts, like always. She remembered everything. "That was scary," Lonnie commented. You went over it again and did it better.

Since so many people were away for spring break, the little kids from the beginner class were mixed with the advanced class. The little kids and Amy did "Da Dip" and you went over "Shake It," once more. Then you were let out for a water break. You and Meghan walked to the drinking fountain and she got a drink first and then left you there, drinking water. When you walked into the room again, you saw Meghan lying on the floor.
