*NOTE* This story is dedicated to my best friend
You are standing in line at Mc Donalds, waiting to order food. You don’t know what, but something made you turn around and you came face to face with TAYLOR HANSON!!! It cant be, you think. I’m not that lucky. Then, someone screams "Oh my GOD I love you Taylor!" You figure it must be him.
"Hi," you say casually.
"Hi," he says back.
"My name is Stacey, I’m a huge fan."
"Thanks."
You stared into his eyes and something between you clicked. You started talking and then the cashier interrupted you, "Excuse me! Are you going to order today or what?" "Sorry," you say. "I’d like a chocolate shake and a 6-piece nugget." Then, you notice Tay is being helped by the cashier next to you. He orders a Big Mac Extra Value Meal. You get your order first and you wait for him. Then, you both sit down at a table. "If you don’t mind my asking, where are Ike and Zac?" He answers, "They went to Kentucky Fried Chicken for lunch and then to lazer tag so I am stuck here to do whatever for a couple of hours." "Well, since we both have nothing to do, wanna do nothing together?" you ask. "Sure," he says.
After you finish eating, (you first since Tay had so much more to eat) you decide to go to Big Fun. You go in Tay’s car and you each get an unlimited wristband. First you go on the go-carts. You lap him once and then, he rams into the back of you. He gets yelled at buy the worker dude who was telling him not to use them as bumper cars. When your turn ends, you decide to go inside where it’s nice and cool and he challenges you to air hockey. You suck at air hockey but so what? You are there with Taylor Hanson! He beats you 15 to 5. Then, you decide to go out on the Bumper Boats. You can’t figure out how to work the boats. He laughs at you, making a comment on how men are better than women and you go at him full speed ahead. You corner him under a waterfall until he says, "I give!" Now he was soaking and he couldn’t get you back because your turn was up.
You get off and he says, "Stacey, you are dry as the ground and here I am, as wet as that water in there. Gimmee a hug!" He tries to hug you but you dodge him cuz he’s sopping wet. Somehow he corners you and hugs you, you are screaming, not wanting to get wet cuz it’s starting to get windy. He hugs you and you look up at him, that thing clicked again and you knew he felt it too, he leaned down and kissed you. Your arms, which were laying lifelessly at your sides came up around his neck and you ran your nails up and down the back of his neck. You feel him shake, he looked cold so you pulled away, and say, "Lets go inside."
He follows you inside and you lead him into the picture booth. He sits down on the stool and you put the $2 into the machine. You both smile at the camera. Then on the one last picture, you lean in and kiss him. While you are waiting for them to develop, you figure that there couldn’t be any harm in continuing the kiss you started outside. You sit on his lap and he kisses you on your neck. You lift up his head and kiss him sweetly his lips. You run your fingers through his hair, by now a skill that you’ve mastered, and you knew it made him putty in your hands. He tried kissing you again and you pulled away he goes after you again and you dodge him again. By now you were smiling but still dodging him. Then finally he gives up. You figure it was time to go pick up Ike and Zac. So you get into his red Ferrari and he says ," Gotcha!" He pushes you back on the car seat, crawls on top of you, and kisses you playfully. He kisses you all over your face and then you pull his lips to yours once more. You kiss playfully some more and your kisses grow deeper and more passionate. You could have gone on forever but his pager goes off. He looks at it and goes, "Oh man! We’ve been kissing for a the past 45 minutes we gotta go get Ike and Zac." "OOPS! I get so carried away sometimes," you say. "Yeah, me too but this is the first time it’s ever happened. I’ve never kissed a girl before, I have been so busy." "Then it’s a good thing I’m here," you say.
When you come up to Lazer Tag, you see Ike and Zac there and they look pretty pissed. "What took you so long?" Zac asked. "Sorry," Tay said. We were on the Boats at Big Fun and that’s when you paged me. My pager may be waterproof but I cant feel it or hear it when I’m on those things. "Wait a minute," Ike says, "Who’s we?" "Me and Stacey," Tay answers. "HI," you say waving. "How come she gets the front seat, it’s my turn up front," says Zac.
Then, all of a sudden, Taylor pulls over and starts coughing and gasping for air. You panic and keep asking him if he’s OK. He tells you yes and starts driving. You see him shaking noticeably hard. When, you get to Mc Donald’s to pick up your car, you tell him to get out, you are driving him back to his hotel and you tell Ike to take Zac in Tay’s car. When you get Tay in the car he passes out. You take him right to the hospital. You run inside and yell for someone to help you. A paramedic with a stretcher comes out and you put him on the stretcher. You sit in the waiting room clutching Tay’s shirt, (The paramedics gave you his clothes when they put him in the hospital gown) when you hear his beeper go off. It must be Ike and Zac you tell yourself. You call and The Dreamer hotel answers. "Hello, the Dreamer hotel, how may I help you?" the receptionist asks. "Yes," you say, "I’d like to get through to Isaac Hanson please." "I’m sorry hon but we can’t bother celebrities." "This is an emergency! One of their family members is in the hospital." "Alright," she says and connects you.
"Hello," Ike’s voice comes through the telephone. "Hi Ike, it’s Stacey. This is an emergency. When I put Tay into my car, he passed out so I took him straight to the hospital which is where I am now and they wont tell me anything." You start to cry. "Shh it’s going to be OK, I am coming over now." "OK bye." Then you hang up.
You finally see the doctor who is working on Tay and you ask him, "Is he gonna be OK? What’s wrong with him?" "Well, your boyfriend is really lucky. You brought him here just in time. However, he has pneumonia. He is still shaking badly and we can’t get his body temperature down. If he doesn’t stop soon, he will go into a coma and has a very good chance of dying." You gasp. "NO! I don’t believe you! You’re lying!" "I wish I was."
Just then, Ike, Zac, and what you guessed was the rest of his family came in. You ran up to Ike and cried into his shirt. "What happened to Tay?" he asks you. "Well, the doctor said he has pneumonia and if he doesn’t stop shaking soon, he’s going to go into a coma and..." you trail off sobbing. "And..." encourages Ike. "And he has a very good chance of dying." You fall to the floor crying. Then, as Ike is helping you up into a chair, Diana comes over and says, "Ike who is this?" "This is Stacey, I don’t know whether to call her Tay’s girlfriend or not, but she brought Tay here." "Tell me everything," Diana says. "OK it all started when I was at McDonalds and I was in line, I look behind me and Tay’s standing there. I introduce myself to him and we start talking. We sit down to eat and then he said that Ike and Zac were at LazerTag and he a few hours to kill. So we both agreed to go to Big Fun. We went over there and firs we went on the go-carts and then since it was so hot out, we went inside to play air-hockey. Then, when we came outside it was kinda cold but we didn’t care so we went on the Bumper Boats. Tay made a comment that guys were better than girls and then he rammed into me soaking me, so I cornered him and kept him under a waterfall until he said, ‘I give’ so I let him go. He tried to get me back but our turn was over with and we got off, by now it was freezing outside. Tay said ‘Give me a hug’ and he followed me trying to get me wet and some how he cornered me and got me soaked. I noticed he was shaking really hard so I told him we should go. Then, we got into the truck and his beeper went off, it was Ike and Zac paging him cuz we were 45 minutes late to pick them up. After we picked them up, Tay started driving and then pulled over and he started coughing and gasping for air, and he was shaking even harder, but he said he was fine and kept driving, but when we picked my Jeep up at McDonalds I made him get out and get into my car. Then as soon as I started driving, he passed out so I drove to the hospital and called Ike. Then they told me he had pneumonia and if he didn’t stop shaking soon, he was going to go into a coma and possibly die." Then, the doctor came out and said you could go see Tay, but only one at a time. Diana let you go so she could wait for Walker.
You went into Tay’s room and he looked at you and you started to cry. "Hey, don’t cry Stace, I’m gonna be OK." "Not if you keep shaking, you will go into a coma and die!" "That won’t happen OK Stacey. I’m a strong person. Now come over here give me a smile and a hug." "I can do better than that," you say walking over and kissing him deeply and passionately. "See, I’m warmer already," he says. Just then, Walker and Diana come in. "I want to thank you for saving my son, " Walker tells you. "It’s nothing really," you insist. You figure that your mom must be home and worried about you so you tell everyone bye and drive home. Your mom was panic-stricken asking you where you were. So, you had to tell your big ‘ol long story again. After that you go up to bed cuz it’s 10:30 p.m.
The next day, you wake up and jump into the shower, get dressed, and do your hair and make up, you wanted to look good for Taylor. You also bought a bunch of balloons and a card that says, "Get Well Soon." Then, you grab your keys and as you were leaving, you get a phone call telling you to come to the hospital, it’s important. Something is wrong with Taylor. The person on the other line says, "Come to the hospital fast, it’s Taylor. Then, they hang up. You don’t believe it, he was fine yesterday. You sit there stunned and then drop the phone. You pick it up and put it back on the receiver. You drive as fast as you can without getting a ticket and weave in and out of traffic. When you get to the hospital, you a met with the worst news possible: Tay has gone into a coma.
