“What did you guys do today?” your mom asked.
You and Taylor looked at each other and you quickly answered, “We went out for breakfast and then lounged around.”
“Oh, sounds like fun.”
“Mrs. Daweson, I know that Stacey is way behind on her school work and she needs to get away from the pressures around here and get her life back together, so I talked to my mom, and we would love it if Stacey could live with us until she gets caught up, my mom will teach her just like my brothers and I and she will get a chance to relax, can she please?” Taylor asked your mother.
For a while, your mother didn’t move, she just sat there. Finally, she said, “Well, I don’t know, I am going to have to talk this over with your father, Stacey. I mean, I love your parents and it sounds like a nice idea, but I need some time, alright, sweetie?”
“Sure,” you said.
You were leaving with Tay. They called your flight number and you kissed your parents goodbye and walked down the hallway, the hallway the lead you to your new life…
