You wake up the next morning with Tay’s arms around your waist and you stretch your arms out and he says, “Good-morning.” He kisses your neck and you lightly run your nails across his arm. He keeps kissing your neck. It makes you feel good inside so you lay there and let him kiss you. After a while, you get up and get in the shower. You get out and go in your room to change. Tay has fallen asleep again and you don’t want to wake him so you just change right there. You put your shorts and bra on and then while you are trying to brush you hair and you are looking down at your ends deciding what day you should go to get your ends trimmed, Tay puts his arms around you and you look up at yourselves in the mirror. “Don’t we make the cutest couple?” Tay asks sweetly. “Nah,” you say. Tay opens his eyes wide. “Just kidding,” you say and you turn around and kiss him. He sits down on the bed and asks, “What do you want to do today?” You put your shirt on over your head and say, “This.” You push him backwards and kiss him sexily. “Fine with me,” Tay says. You laugh. You lay on him and kiss for a while and you get up and say, “Why don’t you take a shower while I call my mom and put on my make-up so I look beautiful for you.” “You don’t need make-up to look beautiful,” Tay tells you. “How sweet,” you say. You lean him backwards again and kiss him. You get up and go over to your phone. Tay gets a towel out of the hall closet and a few minutes later, you hear the shower water running..
You dial the number of the stars house and someone answers and you ask for Ashley Daweson. Shortly after, your mom answers, “Hello, this is Ashley Daweson.” You laugh and answer back, “This is Stacey Daweson, her daughter.”
“Hi hon.”
“Hi mom.”
“How are you?”
“I am fine.”
“That’s good. Sorry to leave you like that. I kinda just up and left huh.”
“It’s OK mom.”
“OK, well, I should be done here in about 2 or 3 days. If you get bored, call your dad and ask him to pick you up and go over there.”
“Well, I will keep that in mind but for now, me and Tay have been hanging out together.”
“Well, I am glad to hear you are having fun.”
“Sorry to rush you but I gotta go, business calls.”
“Bye mom, I love you.”
“Bye hon, I love you too.”
You hang up the phone and do your hair. About five minutes later, Tay comes into your room in his boxers and puts his shirt on. He is combing his hair and the phone rings. You look at your clock it reads,10:00. You answer the phone.
“Hello?”
“HI…Stacey?”
“Yeah…Diana?”
“Yeah, is Tay there?”
“Yup, hang on.”
“OK”
You hand the phone to Tay.
“HI mom.”
“HI Tay.”
“You left the hotel pretty early didn’t you?
“Well, I came over here to take Stacey out to breakfast.”
“Oh, that’s sweet.”
“Yeah, well how is everyone?”
“Good, mostly everyone is still sleeping except Mackie and Zoe.”
“Well, have fun at breakfast.”
“Ok mom bye.”
“Bye Tay.”
Tay hung up the phone. You put your arms around him and said, “So, you are taking me out to breakfast huh?” “Well I guess so.” “OK,” you say. He finishes getting dressed and blow-dries his hair. You get into the car and drive to I.H.O.P. By the time you get there it is about 11:00. You order the small blueberry pancakes. Tay orders the BIG BREAKFAST special. When you finish, you drive back home and watch TV. You feed each other strawberries. Then, you hear a knock on the door and you open it. Ike is standing there and says, “Is Tay here?” “Yup,” you say leading him into the living room. “Tay we got practice,” Ike says. “Oh yeah,” he says. “Do you want to come Stacey?” Ike asks you. “Sure,” you say.
Ike gets into the family van and Tay gets into his car and you follow him. You get to the recording studio and when you go in, Diana says, “Sorry guys, I gotta go, Mackie is sick. He has the flu. Oh yeah, Stacey, can Tay and Ike and Zac stay at your house. I know your mom isn’t home so, it won’t be too much of a bother.” “Sure,” you say. “Thanks,” Diana says, and leaves.
The guys practice and after about 2 hours, you are finally ready to leave. You all get into Tay’s car and drive to your house. “So, I guess you guys are staying at my house so you won’t get sick,” you say. “Yup,” says Zac. “Cool,” you say.
You get back to your house and you order a pizza. Your mom didn’t leave you much food, so you had to order out like every night. You order a pepperoni and a cheese pizza. The guy says it will be there in a half an hour. You walk into the living room and sit down. The guys are watching Beavis and Butthead. You join them and sit in Tay’s lap. You invite your friend Tarah over and she just about drops dead. “HANSON!” she screams. “Yeah Tarah,” you say slowly. “Why didn’t you call me sooner?” “You went to your dads for a while.” “Oh yeah.”
Tarah sits down and starts watching TV. You start to notice that Zac has been staring at her since she got there. You get up and go over to Tarah and pull her over to Zac. “Zac, this is Tarah. Tarah this is Zac.” “Hi,” they both say. Tarah sits down next to Zac. They start talking. You hear the doorbell ring and ask Tay to help you with the pizzas. You pay the guy and bring the pizzas into the kitchen. You say, “I had to get you alone.” “Oh,” says Tay slyly, he slips his arms around your waist and kisses you. “I didn’t mean so we could kiss, not that it’s a bad thing.” “What then?” asks Tay. “Look at Zac and Tarah, they are really hitting it off.” You open the dividers just enough so that you could see Tarah and Zac.
They are sitting next to each other and you watch closely. Zac leans over and kisses her quickly on the lips. He looks over at her, to see her reaction. She is smiling. Zac leans in again and this time, he stays there. They stay in the same position, not moving, just with their lips against each other’s. You close the divider and say, “I think we need to give them lessons on kissing.” “Yeah,” Tay says. You slice up the pizza and put pieces on plates. You and Tay carry out plates and plates of pizza and pass them among the others. You had to nudge Zac and Tarah to get them apart. When they came apart, you smiled at them. They both looked very embarrassed.
You hand them the pizza and settle down in front of the television. You watch the tube for a while and get tired. You put Ike, Tay and Zac in your brother’s room. It’s still the same that it was when he died when he was five. There was a trundle under the beds. “This reminds me of our room,” Zac says.
You all walk Tarah to the door. Zac and Tarah step outside and you watch from the window to see what they are doing. You see Zac lean in and kiss Tarah. They are kissing the exact same way the were earlier. Zac hugs her good-bye. He comes in and you all look at him and say, “OHHHH Zac!!!” He turns red in the face and you go over to him and put your hand on his shoulder. “Poor, little Zac,” you say. “You need kissing lessons.” “Huh?” he says. “What’s wrong with the way I kiss?” He looks at Tay. “Everything,” he says.
“Tay,” you say, “You don’t mind if I kiss Zac do you?” “Nope.” “HUH?!” Zac says astonished. “When we get done with you, you will be a pro.” You tell him to sit on the couch. “OK Zac,” you say, “Now kiss me.” “OK,” he says unsure of himself. He leans in and kisses you. You let him linger for a while. “That was terrible,” you say. Zac looks annoyed. “I’m sorry,” you say. “Here, let me show you.” You lean in and kiss him and you put your tongue in his mouth. Zac pulls away with wide eyes. “What was that?!” he asked. “It’s called a French Kiss. Now you try kissing back.” “OK,” he says still unsure. He leans in and kisses you. He puts is tongue in your mouth. You kiss back and you feel a very strong attraction to Zac. You try to make yourself ignore it cuz you love Tay, right? You keep kissing Zac and put your arms around him. Right in front of Tay!
You pull away and say, “Like that. Told you, you would be a pro.” Zac smiles. “Next time I see Tarah, I will be ready for her.” You walk over to Tay and he is sitting on the couch. “Wanna give me kissing lessons?” he asks. “Why sure,” you say. You straddle his legs with yours and lean his back against the back of the couch and kiss him. You kiss him for a long time and you do something you know you will regret for the rest of your life. You imagine he is Zac. He starts kissing your neck and you say, “That feels good Zac.” Tay pushes you off of him and says, “ZAC!!!” “I’m sorry Tay, really I am, I was just thinking about what Tarah’s reaction to Zac will be,” you lie. “Whatever,” Tay says and walks away. You get up to your bedroom and Tay is already in bed. You get in and kiss his upper arm. “I’m really sorry Tay, you gotta believe me.” “OK,” he says. He turns to face you and kisses you. He puts one of his arms around your waist and rests his hand on your butt. He uses his other hand to comb through your hair. You smile and bring yourself closer to Tay so that the front of both of your bodies are pressed together. You fall asleep.
During the night, Zac comes into your room and says, “Stacey, we need to talk.” You follow him downstairs and you sit on the couch next to each other. “I don’t think the kissing thing was such a good idea,” you say to him. “I know, I felt something and I know that you did too.” He says. “I did,” you say. “But you are in love with Tay,” he says. You hold up your ring finger and say, “We’re engaged.” Zac’s mouth drops open.
You sit there for a while and Zac says, “We need to kiss again and see if we feel anything.” Zac leans in and kisses you. You pull each other close and kiss. You hear, “That’s it.” You turn around and Tay runs out the front door. “TAY!” you scream.
