The Last Quack A Story by Derrek Fredric Smith (With Mallry09's artwork! Thanx gurl! LUV YA!) It was a cold and dreary night...ok, so maybe it was actually really nice outside, but with Nose Dive's pissy attitude, it seemed just right to make the weather appear bad. Nose Dive had been practicing his skills, leading into his famous "All Around the World Spin-Slapshot". No one could complete this move and Dive's excellence at it was a bonus. Nothing lead up to this... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Nose Dive yelled as his skate's blade got caught on an uneven piece of ice. He hit the puck too early, got caught and tangled in his stick, and the puck went flying, bounced off of the goal cage, and zoomed into the bleachers. The ducks were silent as Nose Dive stared. "WHY ME?!?!?!?!?!?!" Amber, who cared more about Nose Dive than every one thought, tried to soothe and comfort him. "Hey Dive, don't ruffle up your feathers over this. I mean, how could you have avoided a big chunk of ice like that?" Unfortunately, Amber didn't think about the trouble that would be. "Wait a minute...YOU used the Zambonie Machine to smooth the ice!" "Uh, Dive, what are you doing?" "And it was YOUR job to make sure the ice was SAFE!" Amber's knees shook rapidly as Dive barked. "So it was You!!!! ARGH!!!" "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Dive tore after Amber yelling, "YOU MESSED UP MY SHOT! I CANT BELIEVE YOU!!! THAT WAS MY PERFECTO SHOT AND NOW YOU RUINED IT!!!" After a chase of 20 minutes, when Wild Wing managed to grab his older brother, Amber's clothes were ripped and torn, Nose Dive was still trying to attack, and Wild Wing was hoping he could hold on. Although this conflict was settled, it goes to the moral of this story... Don't Get Between a Duck and a Puck, because they will always have the last Quack! Thank you, Good Fight, Good Night.
