Eastern Canadians Intermediate B Championships - Port Perry, Ontario - Sept.11-13, 1998
Friday Sept.11 - 5pm - Rutherflo 6 vs Nova Scotia 4: Dave Waldie leads off the bottom of the 1st with a solo homerun to left-centerfield.
Friday Sept.11 - 9pm - Rutherflo 5 vs P.E.I. 3:
Saturday Sept.12 - 11am - Rutherflo 6 vs New Brunswick 5: With a runner on second Craig Minifie nails a single in the bottom of the 7th to win the game.
Saturday Sept.12 - 9pm - Rutherflo 9 vs St.Mary's 2: Gary Vovles, Randy Fife, Ronny Herriot, Evan Loucks, Chris Burkholder and Craig Minifie all had homeruns. Ronny Herriot's was an inside the park homerun.
Sunday Sept.13 - 11am - Rutherflo 5 vs St.Mary's 4: Dave Waldie leads off the game for Rutherflo with a single. Two batters later Craig Minifie hits a two run homerun off the Quebec flag pole which is nested above the right field fence. In the bottom of the 4th inning Craig Minifie hits a solo homerun to centerfield. In the bottom of the 7th inning Rutherflo wins the game with Craig Minifie hitting a solo homerun (His third homerun of the game) to centerfield.
Sunday Sept.13 - 2pm - Rutherflo 5 vs Cobourg 0: Dave Waldie hit a solo homerun in the top of the 7th inning in the Championship game of the Intermediate Canadian B Tournament. Randy Fife pitched 7 complete innings getting the win.
