This is my wife, Mandolien. The picture is one from our wedding album, and is one of my favorites. We got married on 23 October 1993 in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Mandolien and I met at Technikon SA, where she presently holds the position of Secretary to the Executive Director of the Programme Group: Human Resources Management.

Mandolien also likes nature and the outdoors, but she is not the camping-out type. That suits me, because we share many other interests, such as the movies, walking, gardening and dancing. In fact, she was very much into ballet and Spanish dancing until she started experiencing knee problems that forced her to quit her second love in life. (I think the baby is now her first love!) Her other love, apart from her family, is our Pekingese dog. Imac is about seven years old and like a child in the house.

Mandolien is someone who believes in what she does and she pays attention to details. That goes for her work as well as at home. She created a wonderful home for us, which is always a pleasure to return to. She is a strong believer and always put her family first. And all of these qualities are what make me to love her so much.
