My Dad in Vietnam

My dad served in Vietnam from October 1967 to October of 1968.  He doesn't really talk about it except when he is with other vets.  He was with the 8th Field Artillary with the 25th Infantry.  The 25th is also called Tropic Lightening. This is the 25th patch.

He got one of these.  It is called a CIB.  It's a combat thing.

He was paid with what is called MPC.

This is a Vietnam flag.  My dad was at Camp Holloway several times. That was at Pleiku.  He was also at several other different firebases with something called 155's and 105's.  He was at a firebase called Jackson and St. Croix.

This is "The Wall".  It is in Washington D.C.  There are many names on the Wall.

He used to have one of these.  It is called a Bronze Star.
He also used to have a couple of these. It is called a Purple Heart.
He gave them all away.

I will try and find out more stuff.
