I did the hot air balloon with DMC floss and single crochet.First do the basket. Chain 6, sc in second ch from hook and across, turn and sc. Continue until square. (In other words, if there is 5 sc across, go 5 up) The size will depend on you.
Do the balloon second. Chain five, sc in second chain from hook then go across. Sc two rows with same number of scs. Next row increase one sc at each end. (Also change color). Do two or three rows this way. Change color, increase one sc at each end, and do two/three rows with same number of scs. Change colorr and increase one sc at each end and do two/three rows with same number of scs.
Last, again change colorr and start to decrease one sc at each end every row till only four scs left. Fasten off.
Third, fasten basket onto balloon.
