Sonya Sings Again
Sonya has fronted a new song called 'Don't look back'.
The music is by Alan Wilder, and the song is set
to be released on the single Strange Hours (2000).

Astoria Gig
Echobelly are set to play Astoria in London on the 7th of October.

XFM Gig Cancelled
Echobelly were scheduled to play a live set on the new radio station
XFM. Unfortunately, on the way back from a gig in the Middle East, Sonya
lost her voice and had to cancel!

!!!Live Sets!!!
Echobelly will be playing a live set to mark the launch of XFM, the
new London radio station dedicated to indie music.
They will play on the 2nd of September with Headswim at the Monarch.
Tickets are only available through XFM, so get listening!
Starts on September 1st at midday on 104.9FM.

Reasons for Debbie leaving
According to rumours, Debbie did not leave the band due to a disagreement.
Debbie was seen signing autographs at V97 with the rest of the band. This was
a week after she said she was leaving.

"The World Is Flat" NME Review
NME reviewed the world is flat, and said that it was excellent with attitude and sounded
like they meant business, although sounded similar to previous releases. They said that
Echobelly had chosen an excellent time to return with other bands like Oasis.

Debbie Leaves
After recent conflicts between the band, a second member has left. Debbie said
that she is going on to do better things. The band have already found a temporary
replacement, although Sonya says he will probably be permenant.

Melody Maker Interview
On the 2 August 1997, a 2 page interview with Sonya and the rest of the band was featured
in MM. They discussed their recent problems with their old record company Rythm King,
and Sonya's poor health. The new album which is being recorded at Master Rock in Kilburn,
north London will be released in October titled "Lustre". Glenn Johansson said that
the new single "The world is flat" is the most immature single on the album,
with the second single "Bulldog Baby" being much broader and mature.
