What Would Be Their History?
 

From the carefully researched reports throughout the ages it would appear that Gnomes have been in existence well before the birth of Christ.

Wooden carvings carbon dated back to circa 1200BC confirm that the sightings were already making impressions on the then population, resulting in making images of them from wood or clay.  Thus preserving the legends of the Gnomes.

Circa 400 AD with the great migration of people, the gnomes began to appear in the lowlands,  migrating from Scandanavia.
Several reports have come from middle Europe, Eastern Europe and England as well as Siberia and Russia.  The description always being the same. Little men and women about 6 inches tall, although some are reported to be as tall as two feet in later years.

They are not to be confused with dwarfs. The appearance of  gnomes is perfectly proportioned, with long grey beards and a recorded age span of 500 years or more, giving the elders the appearance of wrinkled old men.  Although they have their own language, spoken between themselves, they are capable of conversing in the language of the land they inhabit.

Gnomes maintain a classless society, except for their chosen king. There are no rich or poor gnomes.  No inferior or superior members of the clan or tribe.  Prior to the great migration, the King abused his subjects by making them slaves, working in the gold mines, causing slave revolts and anger amongst them. The migration afforded the opportunity to start afresh.

In conclusion, we found that the Gnomes integrated amongst the people and were seeking more contact with those they lived near, yet jealously guarding their ancient secrets. However they are totally disinterested in history.
