The Law of the Ancients
The Empire's Laws and Ideals

Laws aws and statutes are a necessary element of any organized body. The Gnome Empire is no different. The laws are few and within reason, because the rulers of the Empire expect their fellow Gnomes to live by ideals of Honor. Gnomes are expected to respect their fellow Gnome, and they should expect to receive the same respect. Gnome Law states that no Gnome may kill or attack a fellow Gnome, including those in the village. The ideals of a Gnome's Honor transcends that of clan membership and god-follower status, and the leaders of those organizations should have the decency to respect a Gnome's obligation to obey these laws.

Old Book

Gnome nome Law also states that a proper code of conduct shall be observed when conversing with other Gnomes in public. Verbal arguments and slander against another Gnome over public lines of communication are out of place, and should be taken up privately, with the option of allowing a Ruler of the Empire to mediate.
