"Darkness falls, my brethren," said the man dressed in normal peasant garb which was mostly brown with a dark hood; I never thought about meeting one such as this person in the forests of Cormyr, a dark brethren of Xvim. He must of thought that I, wearing the garbs of most Zhentish citizens, was a dark agent of the Zhentil Keep. But he was wrong. As you know I am indeed a rouge and a rebel bard born from the Zhentil Keep, but I am not an agent of evil. This dark-robed spy would regret showing his true colours to me--for I pulled out my long sword and promptly slashed his throat, cutting away only the first layer of flesh with my first attack. Stunned, the black-robed spy staggered and rushed at me with his mace raised high in the air, swinging it and smashing it down to my face with all his might. I was barely able to dodge the attack. Seeing his moment of disbelief, I plunged my long sword into the spy's belly, and he stumbled back from me, swaying precariously on his feet. Believing that he was all but dead, I watched as the spy took out a symbol, (I now know of the symbol which the spy carried, it was the holy symbol of Xvim) and as he held the emblem up, it began to gleam a greenish hue. The spy's wounds healed in front of my incredulous eyes. I had just finished teaching myself some new magic, that I was able to find during my journey to Cormyr, I brought a spell to mind: magic missile. As I cast the spell two arrows appeared from my hand, finding their mark in the spy's chest, and upon impact making a loud, muffled thumping sound. The Black Robed spy rocked back from the force of the missiles hitting him.
This allowed me time to thrust my sword into the spy's throat, thus ending his life in the Darkness. I watched as the crimson blood flowed forth from the dark spy's neck...I then pulled my sword out of corpse and slid the blade across the spy's shirt, whisking the blood from the blade.
And thus began my travels as a Rebel Bard deep into Faerun, where I survived among dangers and powers that even the Gods cannot comprehend.
