Chapter 13
"I’m going on the waterslide again!" Zac informed us.
"ok, were gonna go get changed and well meet you guys back here." I said.
We ran down the hall back to our room.
I pulled out the key and opened the door. "Lunch was awesome hey?" I said happily.
Stephanie smiled excitedly, her eyes wide. "Guess what?!? I seriously think Taylor likes me."
"Really?" I said gulping hard putting on my best "happy" look.
Stephanie smiled smugly. "Yah, you’ve just gotta see the way he looks at me! See Lauren? I always told you it would happen between us." She said sighing and falling back onto the bed dramatically.
I had things I wanted to say but I kept my mouth shut. I busied myself
with getting my bathing suit out of bag.
"I’m going to go change." I muttered as I shut the bathroom door. I leaned against it and shut my eyes. I took a deep breath to clear my head. She always had been like that. She knew damn well I liked him just as much as she did and it was just like her not to even consider my feelings when she made comments like that. But them again, maybe she was right. Maybe Taylor was attracted to her. Maybe he wasn’t, I was sure he’d seen a ton of gorgeous girls throughout their time touring…I tried to erase the thoughts from my head for a minute well I slide on my bikini shorts and top. I looked in the mirror self consciously and began to notice flaws that I had not paid that much attention to before.
"Get over it." I told myself and walked out of the bathroom.
I looked at Stephanie who stood perfectly in her little bathing suite on her perfect petite figure, towel in hand.
"Ready to go?" She asked me almost with a look of challenge in her eyes as though maybe she had figured out how I was feeling.
I looked straight at her without smiling. "Yah. I’m ready to go." I said,
as though I was accepting some sort of challenge and not just swimming.
