Chapter 16

Soon we heard a knock at the door. I hopped off the bed still chewing pizza to open it.

I looked at the 3 Hanson’s standing there and jokingly gave them a dirty look and closed the door.

"Hey!!!" Zac yelled pushing it back open, "were Hanson, you can’t do that to us" he joked conceitedly.

Taylor laughed and sat on the edge of the bed. Stephanie went over to her bag and pulled out some movies.

"k, we’ve got Armageddon, I STILL know what you did last summer and Jerry Springer’s Ring Master." Stephanie read out the titles.
"Wait, those are 2 new movies….they’re still in the theatres." Isaac said curiously.

Stephanie shrugged, "Simple, my aunt gets lots of screening copies and hands them over to me."

"Cool…." Zac said nodding. "Lets go for….I STILL know what you did last summer! We never saw that."

"ok, fine with me." I said popping the video in the vcr and turning the light’s off.

I went to sit down and realized there wasn’t much sitting room. "Umm…I think we might have some slight seating problems…." I told them.

"I’m fine." Zac said carelessly. He was smack in the middle of Stephanie’s bed leaving no room for anyone else.

"Move!" Taylor told him impatiently shoving him off the bed where he fell with a loud thus onto the floor.

Taylor caught my eye as he walked over to my bed and settled himself to lean against the backboard.

Of course Stephanie noticed right away and ran over to get in right beside him. I raised my eyebrows and gritted through my teeth, "Fine Stephanie, sit there," but she didn’t hear me.

Taylor noticed my fustration, "um, Steph maybe Lauren should sit here cause uh, I think um, since your uh, smaller you’d ave more room on the other bed." Taylor told her quite proud of his lie.

Stephanie was obviously embarrassed, "oh, um, ok, sure, whatever." She said hopping over to the other bed beside Zac. Isaac sat down in the one lounge chair.

I happily sat down beside Taylor I flipped the lights and turned the movie on.

I didn’t pay much attention during the movie, but I think it was ok. I watched as Taylor’s blue eye’s glistened with excitement from the light of the tv. Such as simple thing amazed me.

Just as Jennifer Love Hewitt started to run from the killer I felt Taylor’s finger tips ever so lightly brush over mine, it sent chills up my spine.

"Remember, 2:00….."He whispered as if I could actually forget. I nodded and smiled to myself.

We watch the rest of the movie. As the credits rolled Taylor got up and stretched. We all laughed cause Zac had fallen asleep looking so angelic. I looked at the clock that read 10:32…it wasn’t very late.

"See, he’s kinda jet lagged and tired from swimming today, he really know’s how to run himself down." Isaac explained. We nodded as Zac was woken up.

"I missed it?" Zac said sadly.

They got up to leave. "Thanks for having us over and for just hanging out with us today and stuff, we had lots of fun." Taylor said.

"No, thank you!" Stephanie said. "This was the best." I nodded in agreement.

They gave us their home addy and phone # and some dates we could reach them there. We gave them ours.

We walked them to their room and took a couple more pix and said goodbye. I caught Taylor’s eye once more and we exchanged a look that we both knew what it meant.

We walked back to our room, "well, I guess that’s it." I said to Stephanie who was clutching the info they had given us tightly.

‘Why do they have to leave?" She asked me whining like a 5 year old child. She started to cry. And I gave her a quick hug.

We went back and got ready for bed, we were both exaughsted from swimming, but I knew I’d have no problem staying up.

"Good night." I said. "Good night" she choked out back still crying.

I sat in the darkness wide awake starring at the clock as the minutes ticked bye. I had butterfly’s in my stomach.

After what seemed like year, the clock reached 1:47 AM I got up and pulled on a loose pair of jeans over my boxer shorts. I lay in bed as the last few minutes ticked bye. At 1:56 I got up quietly and slipped on my Nike pool sandals. I looked a bit scrubby, but I was sure I wasn’t expected to look ready to party. I shut the door quietly and slipped into the hallway to meet my dream, Taylor Hanson.
