Chapter 4

I crawled out of my bed at 5:30am, it was Satuarday, the day the tickets went on sale. I walked down stairs and poured some cocoa puffs and milk in a bowl. I thumbed through the newspaper and came across an entry add to win 2 front row tickets, 2 backstage passes, CD Library, shirts and hats. I cut out he entry form and filled it out. I'll drop it off after we get the tickets, I thoguth putting it an envolope. I had to Stephanie to be at my house by 6:30am, I still had a good 45 minutes to get ready. I ran back up to my room to get dressed. I pulled on my dark denimn "Silver" jeans and a brown vintage sweater with an orange strip down each sleave. I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail and looped it in half. I quickly lined my lips with my hard candy lipstick and brushed on some mascara. I pulled on my brown vans and a brown courduroy jacket I impatiently stood by the door waiting for Stephanie while I watched my dad pour himself a cup of tea "Dad! Hurry up and get ready, I want good tickets!" I told him. "Lauren, there is no need to be there at 7:00" My dad said calmly. "Dad! We have been over this a million times, I want front row!Now hurry up!" I half yelled. My dad shook his head and sipped his tea. I couple minutes later I saw Stephanie start to come across the street. ""Hey!Hurry up!" I yelled. "Geez, I'm hurrying." She said walking up the drive way. We finally left at 6:40. "We'd better get some good seats!" She said making a face. "I'm sure we will, were pretty early," I said once more glancing at the car didgital clock. We reached Select a Seat at 6:58 and jumped out of the car. "I'll phone you after." I yelled to my dad. He drove away. We sat on the cement steps talking and eatting granola bars. At about 7:30 people started to line up. But we were first in line. Still, we weren't guaranteed front row, all the select a seats in the city and lots of other places were selling tickets. At 8:00 they opened the doors to stand inside. I looked behind me the line seemed to go really far back, I couldn't even see the end. But, finally at 8:30 on the dot the ticket booths were opened. We ran over to the first one really fast."2 please" I told the woman. I crossed my fingers as the tickets came out of the machine. The woman handed us the tickets and we quickly paid. We stepped to the side to check them out. "Woo Hoo!" I yelled. We had seats 7 and 8 in second row on the floor! "This rocks!" Stephanie exclaimed. We left the ticket place really happy.
