Talk About a Bad Week
Skaters Tony Fergusen and Aaron Meza were walking back to Eric Kosten's house in Hollywood, when they were confronted by 2 kids who jumped out of a car, wielding baseball bats. The kids with the bats got Tony's wallet, but didn't do much harm. A few nights after this, Tony's Acura was stolen right outside the apartment he shares with Mike Carrol and Chico Brenes. The car hasn't been found yet.
Kareem Campbell is NOT Dead
If you read or hear anything about skateboarding, you've probably heard the rumor about Kareem Campbell's death. The rumor has it that he was playing around with guns in L.A., and Joey Surriel shot him by accident. Then the rumors said Kareem was dead. This is not true. Kareem Campbell is alive and well. The rumor is believed to have been started in Europe, and spread by net surfers.
Tobin Yelland to Work on Film
Tobin Yelland, one of the industry's best skate photographers, is taking some time off to work as a still photographer for Larry Clarke's new movie, "Another Day in Paradise." The Movie stars Melanie Griffith, and James Woods. What else has Tobin been up to? Working as a still photographer on some Vans commercials.

Filmer Daryl Grogan has done it again. This time the skate video is different. All the footage is either 8, 16, or 35mm movie film. Most of the skaters appearing are from the Orange County area. The film is said to be smooth flowing, and has a good soundtrack.
