Dear Human Friends at Namilyango College

Hello to you all,

We greet you once again from Micha-Kgasi High School. We would like to ask you some questions about the information you gave us about your enviroment.

We were very surprised to know that Namilyango College is a boys boarding school. How do you co-operate without girls in your school? As you know that boys are sometimes troublemakers. Here in Kgabalatsane we have day mixed schools and in the afternoons there are adults who attend lessons(those adults didn't get educated when t y were still young).

Don't you have multiracial educators in your school? Here in our school we have two Indian educators, the rest are blacks. Is your school well equiped with facilities? Ours is trying to improve. We have facilities like computers, sport grounds, library and laboratory.

We heard about the Catholic church in your area. Are there any other churches in your area? Well in our area we have different kinds of churches we can't even name them. Does tradition play a role in your community? In our community it is still existing but as people become more civilised they turn to forget their culture.

What is th means of transport in your community? We use buses, taxis and those who can afford have luxurius cars.

What currency do you use? Our currency is Rand.

We are sorry we have to stop because it is after three on a Friday. "See" you next week.

How do you communicate with us whereas you have told us that you have no computers and telephones?

What currency is used in your country? We read that you eat bananas almost everyday, do you plant them or do they grow on their own? In our area we eat them in summer and spring. We don't eat them everyday because we have to buy them from the market. Are there any legal restrictions that stops people from building houses wherever they want? Isn't it dangerous to built houses near railways? Do you have any entertainments like Cinemas and Discos.

Dear Human Friends at Namilyango

To: Jackson, Mathias, Abel and Paul.

From: Oketsang, Lebogang, Aaron, Tebogo, Lot and Kgomotso.

Greetings to you once more in Jesus name. We would like to ask you some few questions concerning your environment and your school.

Are you not encountering problems with boys, because boys are violent? Our school is not a boarding school but we are encountering problems with boys such as smoking, drinking liquor and fighting. Are you not having such problems? Here in South Africa we have grade 0 (pre-school) up to grade 12(matric).What does P.7 stand for and what does it mean?

We've heard that Richard's wife is selling alcohol, is she licenced to sell alcohol? In South Africa a person must have licence in order to sell liquor.

Does everyone in Uganda have a banana trees in his/her own yard or is there a large market which sells them in less price? We buy bananas from the market or in streets. What is cassava? Does water which is drawn from springs not affect your health?

Is your country over populated or not?

We are sorry we must stop here 'cause it's 13h24 on a Friday. We'll be writing to you next week. Please enjoy your weekend if you manage to read this over the weekend.
