The story of Peter Plogojowitz comes from early 17 hundreds. Parts of
Serbia and Walachia were turned over to Austria (1718) and forces
remained there till 1739. Peter Plogojowitz himself was a Serbian
peasant who's story occured in 1725. He lived in the village of
Kisilova, in the Rahm district. A week after his burial nine others
passed from a twenty-four hour sickness. As they were on their death
bed they publicly announced that Plogojowitz had come to them in their
sleep and choked or strangled them ten weeks after his death.
