You will want to use the ISO character of < and of >. To do this you want to type in < to get <, and you want to type in > to get > to show.
Here is an example: <img src="bannername.gif">
Would turn out like this on your webpage: <img src="bannername.gif">
To get that image to link to your page you have to add <a href="yoursite.com"> in front of the image URL and </a> after it........
EXample: <a href="yoursite.com"> <img src="bannername.gif"></a>
By the way, that's a small l as in long and NOT an i or capital I.........
